About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Release date: 24 March 2023

Cheapest pre-order price that I can find from a reputable retailer... There are cheaper prices out there, but the reviews aren't anywhere near as good.

Hit / Base are my favourite videogames retailer (alongside The Game Collection), so you can rest assured that they won't mess you around.

Survival is just the beginning.

Six years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City.
Agent Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been sent to rescue the president's kidnapped daughter.
He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the locals.
And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror where life and death, terror and catharsis intersect.

Featuring modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics,
Resident Evil 4 marks the rebirth of an industry juggernaut.

Relive the nightmare that revolutionized survival horror.

    Remakes annoy me a little.

There is meant to be a difference between a remake and a remaster, but often remakes are still just remasters with the base gameplay as clunky as ever and the graphics are still quite bad.

You’re not even getting a new story so should be much cheaper than this.

Have you not played the RE2 and RE3 remakes? Way beyond a basic remaster.
Why would you be getting a new story? It's not a new sequel... (edited)

Looking forward to this game . Remember importing the GameCube version for like £70 back in 2003 using the Freeloader disk.

Jesus, a freeloader disk, that's a blast from the past.

Things I have learned today: HotUKDeals peeps have horrible opinions

As much as this might be good. Pre ordering games is a risk nowadays.

NEVER Pre-Order. Wait a few weeks, game companies (mainly activision) usually add unwanted features a month after launch, or it might be full of bugs IE CyberPunk.

Yes its Resident Evil 4 and it's Capcom who usually with games it usually worth the wait.

These old games re done for visual qaulity should never be more than £30 , wasnt much to start with ..
    Y_G's avatar
Wasn’t much to start with? RE4 was regarded by everyone as an instant classic right from the day it came out and I don’t remember anyone saying the graphics were bad.

Why haven't you put the release date in the deal?

    24 March 2023 (edited)

No point pre-ordering from hit(base).. everyone I've done in the past I've never got on release day , midnight suns was a week after release! And they didn't even bother to let me know.. I had to email them to ask what was happening, and he made out as if I was in the wrong for asking lol

That’s strange. They’ve easily been the best for me for preorders. Past 2 orders came pre release. God Of War and Horizon. Albeit only a day early. (edited)

Loved this when it first released all those years ago on the GameCube, but wasn't really hyped for this to be honest. But recently seen a good hours gameplay of it and it looks amazing!

I quite enjoyed this when it came out many years ago. It was great on the oculus rift in VR aswell. Not too excited to play it again on the ps5 though. £50 eesshhhh.
