    They get quite hot when copying large amounts of data in one go, i keep one plugged into my laptop all the time and just copy stuff to it as i download it and it's ok for that.

    Good price. I had the previous model made of metal, and it was red hot all the time. This model is better. Plastic does not transfer the heat as much as the metal does. I think SanDisk didn't change anything apart from the material. That's why I've purchased a small capacity plastic one. If you transfer large capacity files, you'll have to do it in stages. Otherwise, this will still get hot. But it is better than the metal one. (edited)
