The alternative, I'm assuming, is leather? This is also terrible for the environment. There's no real winner here, unless of course you don't wear leather for whatever reason.

Microplastics are certainly an issue but PU footwear contributes is such a tiny percentage it isn't worth flagging down a hot deals post about.
