Is there anyone who could help me work out the cost to run an air fryer Vs gas oven please? I have a ninja 5 in 1 and I've always been put off using it, thinking that it's gonna gulp electricity, but so many people say they are cheaper to run than conventional oven. I'd like to understand how you work it out please rather than believe the heresay. Thanks

My airfryer took 13 minutes at 200 degrees to cook frozen chips rated to cook in 25 minutes at 200 in an oven. This worked out at 44p an hour. Actual cost was 13 mins or (21.67%) of the hour, 60 mins. So 9.5p.

In an oven, it'd cost you that just to reach temp.

Chips alone, it'd probably cost about 3x as much in an oven.

Btw, to get actual usage I used an energy usage plug. (edited)

I've only used it to make roast potatoes so far but it definitely did the job.

Good size basket and easy to use.

Im no expert, but very happy for the price

    I assume this is 1400W (1.4kW) not 14000W!

Not sure I’d be eating Swan right now. We have a bird flu outbreak in Suffolk.

Easy, there's a bit of racking at the bottom of the basket that pulls out. Easy enough to wash and the. Rinse out the basket
