    It is not actually that smart. I does not cut off the heat when the cooking time is up, merely making a beep. It also does not time it well.

    I certainly use it almost everyday, but only for sandwiches and toasts, and it is brilliant for that. Not so much with steak, or chicken, or pork, or fish, or anything else really. I don't regret buying it, but at the same time, I realized it is just a glorified sandwich toaster.

    Odd. I've had one for years and mine cooks perfect meat and fish every time. Even checked against a meat thermometer it's spot on.

    However, I've never toasted a sandwich with it (edited)

    Yes. One thing I don't like about it is that it squeezes out too much liquid and juice out of the meat.
