Philips Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology for Healthy Cooking, Baking and Grilling – Black – HD9216/41 £69.99 @ Argos

Currently £139 at Amazon, previous best price was £69.99 too. This one is click and collect too :)

We got this model last Christmas and I can recommend it. McCains Homefries come out golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside in around 10-12 minutes. Like the poster above, I also microwave baked spuds until just cooked through and then finish off with 10-15 minutes in the Airfryer until the skins are crispy. 2 large perfectly baked spuds in less than half an hour 8) Also perfect for healthy home made wedges.

For the price I paid £50 yes but I'm not overly keen on air fryers, I've tried the 4.2l non digital and I now think a small/mini oven is a better bet personally. . Other people think they are the dogs bollocks. Do bear in mind you do get a three year warranty with Tower, if you register by 28 days

PenguinsForAll

Not sure why the higher price - What do you think of it, worth the purchase?

Springerbhoy

I bought the digital timer one so no knob but the starting price on the Philips is really high, so just think it might be better quality?

PenguinsForAll

Great! And don't be afraid to get a bigger size. For example I live alone and bought the family size fryer and that's 'just enough' for me. I have a Tower one, and the dial is really smooth and hard to grip if hands are wet at all. The deal posted here looks like it has a nob that's easy to get a hold of. (cheeky) Aside from that i'd imagine an air fryer cannot be much different.

Lots of kitchen stuff reduced at Asda Andover, including this digital kitchen scale from £5 to £2.50. Still lots left on shelf.
Norseg

If it was I'll be made since I still have one sitting in drawer from weeks ago, I paid £5 That's the thing about kitchen gadgets for example I bought a blender thinking I'll make smoothies and milkshakes all the time but I make about 5 drinks

These are in Kendal too. It's a bit small to use a normal plate. But I've placed a plastic tray from my old scales on it and then I can use a plate on top of that and still read the weight. Simples!

National? Damn paid full price for this a few months ago haha (excited)

I got a juggy type one from a poundsaver type store for about a fiver (I know paid £4 too much, think they saw me coming lol). The battery run out fast, and it turned into a bas*#rd to try and replace the battery....and so its now rotting away in the elephants graveyard of old dodgy (though seemed like a good idea at the time) kitchen utensils that every home has in the deppest darkest corner of the kitchem or utility room (if you're semi posh)....or the maids quarters (if your old-monied) :{

termite

flat digital scales that you can weigh any bowl/jug/jar on are better.

smallclone

That's when I got mine too.

sharkmark

They will also break after a couple of years as the glue that holds a bracket on the side of the silver dish will fail. Good idea but poorly executed... (I had one which now binned

mmickk

these are fantastic for weighing letters and small parcels had mine for five years. Other half borrowed it in the kitchen and stacked pans on it in the cupboard and broke it.

Im in Asda now correct price on sale is £4!

GrabTheDeal

Not at all @hawa012 I found this roaster with this price & posted. I’ll find out tomorrow & listen keep posting ;)

hawa012

Sorry I didn’t mean any offense, it’s just that the £1.30 pyrex is sold out, the one placed with the £1.30 is a roaster of 2.8L. So in the picture it’s the 2.8L roaster. Not the 0.8L, this is the actual Pyrex Cook & Go 0.8L at £1.30, which is sold out said the staff there when I asked. I’m so sorry OP if my comments offended you, didn’t mean it even one bit. Just thought it’d saves someone the time from looking.

GrabTheDeal

It’s absolutely fine @hawa012 Anyone can be mistaken but I did mention it’s 0.8 Litres. So how it was misinformation?

hawa012

Saw this too at Asda Toryglen but this is not the right item. Tag says 0.8L pyrex not this roaster. Roaster still good price at £4 though but definitely not £1.30. A misinformation. Sorry OP! I just happened to be in Asda tonight and went to check them out.

Picked this up for £7 from Amazon a few months ago. It's great but suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago.

EndemicAlarm

I find it annoying that there are buttons on the top, which are accidentally pressed or hard to press when you're shifting around something big to try and fit it on and be able to read the display as well, the buttons on the top are mechanical ones with a gap around the edge to the insides so you have to be careful with food or when cleaning it, it uses a CR2032 battery which is so inconvenient compared with other batteries you can likely pull out of a drawer at a moments notice not to mention a continuous expense since there's no rechargable option, the LCD has no protection so you have to be careful putting anything hot on it or you'll damage the display. It's a shame the related black ACCUWEIGHT ones seem to be a little on the cheap side as it doesn't have any of these problems and seems to have been well thought out, unlike the Salter one. None of those points as disastrous but it annoys me that something so simple can have so many flaws and I'd risk my money trying that one instead if buying again. A 15 year warranty is all very well, but for what the postage costs plus the batteries over time you may as well have just bought a new one.

Well, these have lasted a whole year with my daughter at university as they have been brought home never having been out of the box (when they we deemed as "essential").

Savisto is an excellent brand to go for....works perfectly no issues...Fab brand

-=blootoon=-

I can not comment on this model but i did have the previous model in 2016 and it was a pile of junk, i sold it after one week, cheaply made and poor performance, the biggest failure was the attachments had too much clearance to the bottom of the bowl so it would never mix correctly.

nathanlhughes

I've had a good experience with Vonshef. Everything I've ordered has a two year warranty. I had an egg cooker which I mistakenly left on and it broke, and they replaced it after a year with no questions asked. Their products seem to be good quality, especially for the price

Tpbarratt
