I think taxes should cover this. If people are sent by their country, the taxes paid to the treasury should cover any help needed, not charity. We don't fundraise to buy tanks.

Cheap because if it's an ingredient for "baking" it means there is no VAT on it waiting for "baking" ps4's, cars, Toblerone, steaks...

Ahh, but they didn't brand them up with pancake wording this year, so no 50p bargains after Shrove Tuesday to clear stock.

Free Fresh baking Yeast @ Tesco Bakery
551°
Found 25th JanFound 25th Jan
For those who like to cook, you can get free fresh yeast at Tesco bakeries just by asking the staff at bakery and you will be given a chunk of it for free.
There's an ancient (2005 onwards) thread about this on Moneysavingexpert forums with handy tips, recipes, etc. I can say that my local Tesco still provides this free without question. They just ask to turn up with a bag available near the bananas, but as these have vent holes, it's best to use a second one.

Heat for the list alone

Some good deals though, thnx for sharing.
Nothing special yet again, just stuff they sell..........and thats why my local lidl is getting less and less busy
the weekly fruit&veg offers at lidl are getting a bit pathetic
No worries tho as I bought 220kg of potatoes at xmas from them and stacked them in coldstorage,
Enough potatoes to last till May.

Set of two baking trays from Sainsburys seen in Hunstanton £6.50

Found 20th JanFound 20th Jan
Set of two baking trays from Sainsburys seen in Hunstanton was £19.00 Very good quality may be nationwide
I saw these in store at a higher price , they looked and felt superb quality . Not at all like the cheap bendy versions you get . To be perfectly honest I felt they were too heavy weight wise for me to use day to day , but I have no idea why this has gone so cold . I can only assume it's because people haven't seen them to get an idea of what they are like and are comparing with lesser quality trays .
They are only good quality if they are enamel and have the white flex throughout, all.. ALL others will let you down.. Enamel is the only true 10 yr + baking product.

You are most welcome...glad to have been of help

Got to say I've got a lot of this range by Kitchencraft and it's really good quality...didn't buy it because of the Paul Hollywood endorsement but because of the price at the time I purchased it as a lot of the other pieces were on offer and worked out cheaper than buying the standard kitchencraft range and well I really liked the colour as it makes a nice change from the standard black or grey

I bought one of these just over a year ago, and I think it's great. Big, heavy duty, and the non-stick is holding up fine. So, at this price, I've bought a couple more.

Usually buy a new one of these every year, they are sturdy, never warp and quite large (but ok for a standard oven), only reason I replace them is after a while they start to look stained.

At 4.99 you can afford to buy one, use it for a year then throw it away, its made its money easily

Bought one thanks, ready for the Christmas cookies

They warp and they warp badly.

Mine isn't warped at all. I've regularly used at up to gas mark 7 with no problems at all. I am careful to let it cool naturally rather than plunge it into the washing up bowl - that really screws up non-stick apparently, and I would imagine warp steel as well.

It's a real shame they got rid of their normal muffins for the filled ones, they're way too sickly and sweet. Used to love a lemon and poppy seed muffin from them but having to go for something else these days (first world problems, I know).

Anyhow, cheers for the heads up, might make use of this before the week is out.
