Bought this a couple of weeks ago for £55 delivered.
It's been put through its paces especially as its Ramadan and it's being used daily.
Its been absolutely brillant. Much better and bigger than the philips we've used.
    Well worth the money.

I actually bought one of these recently from Costco.

Its an amazing piece of kit, it does get some getting use to the cooking times but its honestly so good.

I haven't actually used my normal oven since having this.

If you needed any convincing or reassurance, here it is.

A lot of people use parchment / grease proof paper in them. Either buy a roll and cut it to shape or buy pre-cut shapes. You can buy enough of the pre-cut shapes to last a good 6 - 12 months from Amazon for £10 to £15. (I have been doing some research into this over the past week as I contemplate buying one.)

It is especially economical for single people who are heating up big ovens for small amounts. @bellboys posted on another air fryer thread lots of good info about reduced costs and reasoning why air fryers are better. But that was for a double Ninja air fryer. I can't justify the price of a Ninja double air fryer at the moment - might not like air fryers at all - so I might opt for this. One more point, price does not seem to be an indicator of whether a fryer is any good or not. I have watched countless YT videos in the past fortnight which suggest this. This Gourmia is highly rated as is a Cosori one - but the Cosori is double the price of the Gourmia, and Amazon reviews show that lots of people had it falling apart after a few months.

Hi tawse57, I got notified of this post because you name checked me Yes, IMO and crucially IME it's really only the double basket air fryers that have the potential to save you electricity on account of them being able to replace your oven for the vast majority of meals. We found with a single basket air fryer like this one you actually use MORE electricity because it will tend to be used in conjunction with your traditional oven.

I've seen many reviews on the dual basket air fryers stating that they bought a single basket fryer but then realised a double basket fryer was the real answer so bought one. Money down the drain, basically.

Nice thing nowadays is you don't just have Ninja to choose from, plenty of other manufacturers now offer a double basket air fryer and they start from as little as £99.99 (I have posted a deal for it). Even Gourmia have got in on the act but it's US only at the moment.

It was a thought that has been going through my mind.I like my chicken or fish, chips, onion rings combo which are all oven cooked. I can imagine doing them in a double air fryer but was concerned that a single one would result in myself turning on the oven when it all couldn't fit in the single fryer.Oh well, looks like I will have to find a double at a reasonable price. The Daewoo deal is off-putting as there are basically no user reviews of using it.

There's the Tower 9 litre version for £122 on Amazon. Plenty .of reviews and a 3 year warranty as long as you register it with Tower within 28 days

Brilliant Airfryer, bought one instore a month ago. Much better than my previous Salter XL model. The footprint on counter is good for those with limited space. Preheat and turnover notification. And easy to clean.
  12. TylerDurdenUK's avatar
Presumably this would be cheaper to use for say, a portion of oven chips compared to doing them in the oven
  13. TylerDurdenUK's avatar
Could you with this have burgers on one level and chips on another ?
  14. mhnewman83's avatar
Can anyone who bought one of these explain how much it will comfortably cook using 1kg bags of frozen fries / chips as a measuring scale

Having watched a couple YouTube videos of one, I'm going to get one today. My main concern was wether you could have chips and something else in it at the same time (you can)
  18. blida251's avatar
It is quite good but cleaning is a bit of a pain as the metal pan in the bottom is hard to take out and clean. Great for chips but not so great for bacon and pork chops, but the food tastes much healthier than fried food. I give it 8 out of ten potatoes

Great for students who are renting without a kitchen (edited)

I also bought one online through someone who’s got membership (I don’t). I’m happy with it, chicken was so nice, I still have to work on my chips though 🫢, haven’t found the best method yet. I find that the right side gets hotter than the others so the food gets done quicker on that part which makes me check the food more often than the machine says so😩

I bought mine from Costco on line £54 it’s a brand new larger size fryer, and I LOVE it, I find it dead easy to clean by hand, I just put some warm water in the base to soak once I’ve dished up, until after we’ve eaten. You may want to keep a receptacle for draining it into, rather that risk blocking your sink. Though in reality you’d do that kind of thing anyway with a frying pan or roasting dish. It’s a proper bargain tbh. I have a brand new kitchen and being able to cook sausages, burgers and chicken thighs etc without dirtying my new oven/grill is bliss.

360 That’s too hot for cooking unless you like everything cremated.

Or is this a mini pizza oven?

Great price. Any way to get discounted membership? Don't think I'll be buying anything else from here so seems a shame to have to add membership price onto the price of the item which is otherwise a bargain.

I'd go with the Costco one every day. Its 50% bigger and cheaper. I've had the Costco one a week now and love it. Only used my actual oven once, that was for a pizza that wouldn't fit in the air fryer anyway.
