sorted byIt's basically trial and error and don't follow the timings in the recipe book or your stuff will be cremated A general rule of thumb is whatever time something takes in your oven halve it and check it regularly You can always add a bit of time on if not cooked but you can't subtract time if it's burnt!!
Plus I've probably learned the most from this Facebook group (including soft boiled eggs, I kid you not).

You can always argue it was not "fit for purpose" if it broke at 12m. That claim is with the retailer.
£199 is mega money for an air fryer. And so you should expect it to last longer. It's twice to three times the price of others, so should perhaps last that long extra too.

update - ignore that, working again now. (edited)
I have a Ninja AF160 and also gourmia just bought Gourmia 6.6litre from Costco for £48 and impressed with gourmia as its bigger than the Ninja and is, as good as the Ninja at fraction of cost.
Gourmia link is below
hotukdeals.com/sha…884
I have the Gourmia too, just can't warrant this price for a dual unit when I can buy 3 Gourmia's for the same price. Understand its neater but seems overpriced to me.
There's tons of alternatives out there with respectable warranties.
Given your experience, I can't see why you call this a bargain. This product is more or less used daily and should last longer. I will not call a bargain nearly £200 when the product lasts less than 2 years and Ninja is not bothered to do anything. Paid about £200 for a tumble dryer with 5 year warranty, Ninja should do better for this price.
I do remember there is a piece of EU legislation suggesting such products should last at least 2 years, if they don't, they are not fit for purpose. So the manufacturer has to do something. I had a vacuum cleaner, a washing machine and a baby video monitor with 12 months warranty. All broke after 12 months but before 24 months. The manufacturers were not willing to do anything until I've quoted that piece of legislation. After that, they all sorted the appliances.
It wouldn't balance very well and looking at Facebook groups there are occasions where it has cracked certain worktops because of the heat from it and melting at the back because they havnt been ventilated enough
Ninja don't recommend you put anything on the top. Plus it's very important to have at least 6 inches space around the whole product when in use or it could get serious.
Please believe the fabulous reviews because that's what these Ninja's are, simply fabulous, I do not know how I managed without mine!
It is used daily, hardly ever use my main fan oven now, it is a life changer, saves so much time, not to mention electric!
Saw this deal for the larger one and instantly knew I had to buy it!
My mum has bought my AF300 so it hasn't cost me much to get the bigger one, which with a family can only be even more handy in my kitchen!
Even little things like say if you've got a bologneise cooking in your slow cooker or on the hob, instead of heating the oven or grill up for garlic bread slices just whack em in the ninja, 5 mins later it's airfryed to perfection.
Warming croissants up, crisping up pasties, the part baked petit pain rolls come out perfect, I've even made cakes in mine too, it's so versatile!
Honestly worth every penny in my opinion!
*Don't forget TCB, I've had £6.16 tracked already!
Never had a problem with QVC paying out..... (edited)
Happy with mine, however, to me a great price for this is about £120. This is an OK price, however, I can't see why this is almost the deal of the day, the discount is not that great IMO. (edited)
Inflation or not, if you pay more, you should have more warranty too. You can't ask for premium money if your warranty and your CS is rubbish. Also, Ninja should act much quicker when they replace faulty products. Reviews on line suggest they are meant to replace one piece that's part of the product, you wait a month and you receive the wrong part, or a part for a different model. I think these things should be taken in consideration when you come with a price. We all know Currys are rubbish with warranty and replacements, but at least their prices are often cheaper than the competition.
As a product, I like it. But I feel it should be cheaper. It it will be, as the competition will force them to reduce the price. (edited)

I have ninja af300 and wouldn’t buy another brand should need to. I have had their few more products and I have faith in their quality. 2 years old food processor and 2 years old air fryer. Both been used regularly and perform very well. Easy to clean and looks still like new.
If Ninja were as confident in the quality as you are why the stingy 12 month warranty?
My point is for the premium you are paying you shouldn't have to.
At the moment you can get an 8 litre dual air fryer for £99.95 delivered with a 3 year warranty. Is it as good as the Ninja,? If it was what would that say about Ninjas pricing? I suspect it isn't as good of course but the 3 times longer warranty is embarrassing for Ninja imo. (edited)
Thank you very much. I will join the group. Yeah I only had a brief look at the recipe book. Wow boiled eggs!! That’s crazy. Will defo search for that
Very welcome They really are a game changer. I can guarantee you many of the ppl buying single basket air fryers now will be scrapping them and buying dual ones when they realise just how much more useful (and energy saving) they are. It's a very new market and many don't even know about them yet. They will...
(edited)
Lol, the honest answer is, of course you would replace it with a Ninja as you ordered one for your son the other day despite the myriad of inferior machines you have posted before and after ordering your son's. (edited)
I already have the AF300UK along with 5 other Ninjas - do I have an issue? (edited)
trust me they came back & just dont like paying out but i cant dive into why on here
David Bury of Grimsby? Jokes aside I'd rather drive to Grimsby than use the company you allude to.
I couldn't agree more.
I kind of agree although inflation has taken a real hold since this was last £160 so imo this is a bargain. But I totally agree regarding the pathetic warranty for such a premium priced product
The consumption is per drawer. Totally separate elements. (edited)
Unless you're prepared to stand there and shake the basket vigorously every two minutes, 'real' chips are a disaster in this. I've gone from a Actirfy (which made the most amazing chips as the paddle constantly rotated and turned them) to this, where have the chips are burnt to a crisp and half are still raw. Total disaster. Tried lowering the temp and cooking for longer, tried shaking them every five minutes but each and every time has been a total failure.
Avoid if you're an avid chip eater like myself
I have a philips air fryer and I have found that home made chips still come out delish. If you don’t want them half raw then your best option is to par boil them, drain, pat dry and then put them in air fryer at 180 degrees. Toss every 10 mins or so and I’ve never had any burnt to a crisp. Come out perfect each time
From my personal experience they were $h!t€ when they were Dixons and successive rebrands haven't improved them. They're useful for seeing goods in the flesh but as soon as one of those Currys "experts" (sixthformers) opens their mouth you realise you're better shopping elsewhere.
Difficult these days for white goods to walk into a store and see a range of appliances but I'd rather support my local Euronics store who actually price match online anway or go to Richer Sounds for home entertainment.
The only other difference imo between shopping instore at Currys or online is the prices are keener online unless it's a Bank Holiday special or something.

Would you buy a ninja again or another brand?
I paid £199 but I used vouchers so paid nothing from my own pocket. Just tried chilled garlic bread slices. Ready in under 5 mins! Omg
Think this machine will make me fat lol
I read one (very rare) negative user review on Currys and the reason for the poor review score was he/she had assumed the top of the Ninja was a grill and was very disappointed to discover it wasn't!!
will never buy frozen chips ever again.
Agreed, still waiting on mine following purchase in November 21 via Topcashback.
Sounds a daft question but whats the best way to cook chips in this? Peel and chop spuds and add a bit of veg oil? Advice appreciated
