    Copied from Amazon reviews:
'1.0 out of 5 stars Overrated peice of junk

Burns home made chips on the outside and isn't cooked properly on the inside despite of how often you shake them. Haven't tried using frozen chips as of yet, but I wouldn't recommend this product. I think the tafel one would be better as it rotates and cooks the food evenly. Maybe this is good for other foods, but let's face it, most people buy this for the chips'

Did you see the 4,553 reviews on Amazon that gave it 5 stars?

Does anyone know if the 9L one is significantly larger than the 7.6l one? The former is this one on offer so wanted to get it but was worried it was a behemoth in comparison...

    I'm guessing it's about 1.4l bigger

Good price but Slightly cheaper directly from ninja, as they are doing an extra 10% off the £179.99, plus 3.5% cashback from quidco (edited)

    Replying to

Also John Lewis for that 2 year warranty is £199.99, cashback too. Depends on people circumstances and preferences.

Prime Deal is at £179.99 so good for myself at £9.99 more for the option of 5 monthly payments. (edited)

I can't seem to work out what the actual Amazon warranty is on this from the product page. Is it 1 year or 2?
    Jonwillis's avatar

    1 year

If you want longer get it from John Lewis, or Currys + purchase insurance.

I'm not really one to get insurance but given the price and the fact it gets hot, I felt 1 year was too short so got it from elsewhere (edited)

I have the larger one, and it is not as large as I was expecting. Even though there are just two of us in the house I certainly made the right choice.

My thoughts as someone who has had this for a couple of weeks...

Is it a 'game changer'? No, it's just a small and hot oven with a fast fan that cooks food quickly and crisply.
Is it worth buying? Absolutely. As long as you have worktop space just get one.
What do we use it for? Simple stuff like fish fingers, jacket spuds, sausages, bacon, roast chicken, oven chips. All cooked more quickly than they would cook in the oven, lovely and crispy too.

And yes, the beeping is annoying but once it's out of warranty I'll disconned the speaker.

The guy looks so happy with his air fryer not how I look when I’m craming a leftover donner meat pizza into one of the compartments when hungover.

Was going to buy from reviews reliability issues. Think John Lewis best option for those that buy. Warranty worth more than saving a few quid :/ :/ :/

Good price. Purchased twice from Ninja direct. One unit didn't power up and the other was delivered with deep scratches to the side of the unit. Gave up after two attempts and multiple conversations to get a refund. Might be worth considering to order through other retailers with better customer service. (edited)

I have one of these (9L one). i find the control system terrible. For example it you use the sync or match option and find that something is burning, there is no option to adjust just the basket that is burning you need need to cancel both re-do.

Other than that its a pretty decent bit of kit.

Absolutely no problems cooking stuff as has been mentioned elsewhere

Are you sure? I used sync option today and could adjust just 1 basket without effecting the other. Just make sure you select basket 1 or 2 and then make adjustment or it will effect both.

We have one and in general I prefer the actifry it replaced.

    Pros over actifry:
    -2 cooking zones
-Doesn’t mash your food up with the spinny thing

    Cons:
    -Controls are clumsy
-Fine line between undercooking and burning
-Uneven cooking if you forget to shake contents part way through cooking
-Not keen on the way it cooks chicken, makes it taste a bit chewy and stringy

I believe the new actifrys, you can disable the spinner or it only comes on part way through when your chips are part cooked/wont mash up for example, so thats what I’d buy next. (edited)
