3.5L is only good for solo cooking. Our family got in early with air fryers and were now on our third. Each one has got bigger than the last. 5.5L is your realistic minimum. We currently have an 8.5L.

Depends what you want to cook.
We use our 3.5L xiaomi for family of 4 all the time for fries, falafels, etc.
We dont treat it as a full oven replacement... so if we want to roast a chicken or 1.5kg of wings it will be in the oven.

This is far too small to be of any use.

Piling up food doesn't cook properly! (edited)

To you I guess. Others seem to rave about it

Got this but ended up buying a bigger one for two of us.

it is not big, but I've found it ok for a family of 4. i guess it depends how you use it. if you want it to cook a whole dinner for a family, then it is too small. but if you are like me and only make one of a few dishes with it, then it is usually more than enough.

4 people?! How? We're talking about single use cooking, not multiple use to cook for multiple people for one sit down altogether meal. One single use, pretty much feeds one person. I have no idea how you get to feed four people with a single use. It's impossible (I have this myself). You can just about squeeze in 4 Birdseye Burgers in there say, or say one small Chicago Town Deep Dish mini pizza (from their two pack mini range), or you can just about squeeze in 2 Pieminister pies in there. We're talking about flat surface area. You don't stack two pizzas in an oven, you wouldn't stack two pizzas in an air fryer. Stack anything on top of something in an air fryer, whatever is below doesn't cook properly.

Any idea how it compares with Costco's own brand?

Had mine for a year, flawless and looks great in white

I bought one of these and ended up replacing it with a Costco one a few months later. The size was okay but I found the controls quite fiddly and the inside tray handle snapped off so it was difficult to remove the food when it was hot. Costco one is much better

I got one and now worried, how did you snap off the tray handle?

I got one of these last time it was on offer for my mother and she really likes it.
It's perfect for her size wise and aesthetically it's one of the nicest ones on the market (no horrible black blob). It fits perfectly in her white kitchen.
Controls are easy to use and it's big enough for 2(depending on what you want to cook) Bluetooth is a bonus for those that like it techy. (edited)

Good air fryer for a single person, have mine for a year and working with no issues at all...

I bought this from B&M for £39 about 4 weeks ago. I was in there 2 weeks ago and they still have 5/6 units. It's a great air fryer and I'm really pleased with it. The only negative that I've found and has already been mentioned is the size. It's great if you're just making some chips or cooking fish etc but the minute you try to multitask you come unstuck. The basket comes with a wire rack but the legs don't give it enough height to put much underneath it. I just about got away with cooking chips and a fishcake for one person. (edited)
