This is an amazing device, I bought one a month back after seeing it here from Costco. So far I have made homemade chips, cakes, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, and even boiled some eggs. Very cost effective energy wise and so much better than an oven. Haven't used the oven since I got it, lol.

    Heat!!! (edited)

    Boiled eggs?! Pray thee tell!

Any recommended liners that fit this model well?
  3. carpmaster1's avatar
This is a great fryer. Wins every test against the overpriced and cheaply built Ninja.
  4. simplelearning's avatar
Hate the compulsory 'preheat' function on this! The other Brevielle airfryer we use daily doesnt have that so cooking time is a lot more quicker.
    rufnek2kx's avatar
    It's not compulsory.

Any idea what price it is instore (if they have stock) as going on Monday?

    In store this morning...

    £51.58 (incl. VAT)

Grabbed this last week and I've used it every day since. Helps when the kids don't want a fancier dinner you're making, but also great for a quick bacon sarnie. Crisps chips up lovely, as well as other traditional oven-cooked meals. Oh, and it's often quicker, so you don't need to leave it in as long as an oven.

As noted above, you can disable the pre-heat and turn reminders, which I do every time. I also bought some larger silicon inserts so I could cook multiple things at once and not have to deep clean the tray as often.
    bbeettaa's avatar
Are you able to point me towards the place you got your silicon inserts please? Thanks in advance

Gonna buck the trend. I returned mine. Looks like a great device. And probably will be for most people. But the inside area that the metal cooking basket slides into is all plastic housing. I don't fancy that getting hot near my food and potentially circulating chemicals around. And there's an awful smell of plastic from new as well (which, apparently goes after few uses, but still - it ain't something for me). (edited)
    scotty6435's avatar
The plastic smell went away from mine after maybe 1 hour of runtime. The basket is all metal, the facade is plastic but so are many things. Plastics don't necessarily degrade at a couple hundred C otherwise they wouldn't make things like this out of it (edited)

Does anyone know if this is better than the ninja ?

I've got both, no real terms difference. I would get this and save my money!

I don't qualify to be a member, as per their guidelines. Do they check?
    RichH6109's avatar
You don't need to qualify for online membership.

Ordered for the Mrs so she will stop bumping her gums about getting one.
The odds on her bothering to use it more than twice are currently 33/1.

Wicked, missed it last time and have been waiting for it to get back in stock! Thanks for the heads up, ordered!
  12. Neallywheely's avatar
Thanks. Ordered. Missed out last time it was in stock as they'd disappeared whilst I was trying to check out!
    LadiesMan2I7's avatar
Yeah same happened to me, success this time around

Some use litres and some use KG - wish they'd stick to one uniform way to measure an air fryer's capacity. Difficult to compare models
    Brian_Wright's avatar
1kg should be equal to 1 litre.
  14. ratski's avatar
Brought this recently and it’s brilliant, price is fantastic when you look at what other air fryers are priced on the market.
  15. Feverdawg's avatar
Shows as In Stock - but add to basket and get "Sorry, there is insufficient stock for your cart."

Trying out a fray bentos balti pie in it this evening
    jenster18's avatar
Let me know how that goes, haven't tried any tinned cooking in ours yet but my husband likes those pies!

Ordered, thanks. Had been waiting for this but I ordered a different brand from Amazon as I got fed up with missing out on stock, but that's going back now. This looks pretty similar, is over £50 cheaper and has the rack included which sealed the deal.

guess may have been a single unit or something, add it and still get "Sorry, there is insufficient stock for your cart."

Does anyone with this air fryer notice steam & hot air coming out of the left hand edge of the drawer?

Mine seals up nicely - uniform gaps each side - but the left hand side is bellowing steam where the drawer meets the unit.
    carpmaster1's avatar
Just to update this thread. I've used the fryer about 5 times now and not once had any steam coming out of the drawer. I think it was probably a combination of first use (seals not bedded in yet) and ingredients that are full of water (vegetables). I absolutely love this air fryer. It's superb.
  38. camo145's avatar
    Thanks ordered

Got mine early in the year its great. I would recommend it
  40. PalG's avatar
Is this better than a ninja one?
    carpmaster1's avatar
It's 98% as good as a Ninja but at 25% of the price. Absolute no brainer.
