So why beware you ask....
I am assuming its due to demand, seems the quality has slipped a bit..... Subsequent purchases of these over the past couple of weeks have shown quality defects.... nothing catastrophic I must say, but I like my new shiny kitchen appliances to look new and shiny....
Last one we purchased the stainless steel front had a very noticable dink/ripple in it and the screen when looking at it from an angle was covered in scratches.....
Its definitely not a second hand or return, moreso looked like it had been rushed through the factory.
Called costco for return........ out of stock.....
My recommendation....... if you are going to pick one up, especially if you are going to travel a distance, open the box, take it out and check it before you go home.... Will save you hours of travel..... Just as a side note, when i say check it, look for visible damage.... dont ask costco to lend you a chicken and some power ;-)
Hope this helps someone :-)
For the minority that may be as stupid as I am, just a small word of warning… don’t put baking paper/liners in the air fryer while preheating! Luckily the smell of burning got my attention before I burnt the kitchen down! 🙈 (edited)
If you did, the top layer would be turned to ash, while the chips underneath would be still be frozen.
I'm a big fan of airfryers, but those pictures of a basket overflowing with food are sooooooo dishonest (and all the manufacturers do it).

Again only trying to help out and this may not be for everyone but works for me 🏼 (edited)
I thought the same as you until I checked some things.
Turns out my oven is 1.19kw and my air fryer is 2kwh. So, if I run them the same duration, then the air fryer is almost twice as expensive to run. Add to this that the air fryer maintains its 2kw output constantly whereas the oven turns off when it reaches temperature and only turns on again when needed to maintain the temperature.
If you manage to cook whatever it is MUCH faster in the air fryer or your oven is a higher kW, then it will save money, but otherwise could cost more. I was compounding this by running two air fryers thinking I was saving money which I wasn't.
The hobs on my cooker are more of an issue as they run at 1.8kw, so I'll have to watch those.
Lots in Derby as of 10:30am Wed morning…
Please tell me you can turn the beeps off.. (edited)
Still quite a few left in Derby Store at 1:00pm Wednesday. Located at the end of the small appliance rack by the far wall. Rather hidden so may explain why the store still have stock. (edited)
I had a 4l tower one and could hardly fit anything in it, sent it back and got a well reviewed 6.5l one that has been a game changer.

Morrisons Too Good to Go Bag (Sprouts, potatoes, asparagus among other things) + reduced chicken breast + Gourmia Air Fryer = Success!
How long did that take ? (edited)
Just picked up one myself thank you @Smiler5 😁
Don't hesitate to buy one fantastic product.
