Everywhere is Ireland is expensive most of the time so deals like this always appreciated!

The UK has done a good job catching up recently. I live on the Derry Donegal border and don't find it too expensive in Donegal compared to what it used to be like even with the weak £.

No weekend dates available - no wonder it's cheap. (edited)

take a look at the pigsback.com for short breaks. There's lots of deals like this all over the country. The end mostly in mid-march for reference. Remember the weather has been totally shite here this winter! (edited)

Ireland hotels are ALWAYS very very expensive and I'm not just talking about Dublin. Cork, Donegal, Galway, Kerry etc have extortionate prices all throughout the year. This is a HUGE bargain. (edited)

We don't find them expensive. On average I pay about £120 a night in hotels in England. I pay about €135 in Ireland, so about the same.

We stayed a few years ago and it was ok, but we found it quite outdated. Grubby carpets throughout and had a well used feel to it. Location was ok, though a fair walk into town. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food.

Great price! But sadly the ferry cost is usually around £400.

I stayed here a few years back and rememeber reading on trip advisor reviews that staff at the bar would literally ignore when you try to order something from the bar, I thought surely not.

We got there, and they genuinely do see you standing and turn their backs on you while chatting amongst theirselves.

Stayed here two years ago and it was not great. Rooms small and cold, mostly carpet throughout which is never good in a hotel of this standard. Its more a hotel for the jiving (country dance)
