Kraków, a southern Poland city near the border of the Czech Republic, is known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter. Its old town – ringed by Planty Park and remnants of the city’s medieval walls – is centered on the stately, expansive Rynek Glówny (market square). This plaza is the site of the Cloth Hall, a Renaissance-era trading outpost, and St. Mary’s Basilica, a 14th-century Gothic church. Auschwitz is roughly 70km from the centre of Kraków.

    Also worth pointing out that that some of the Flights are to or from Katowice, Katowice is over an hours drive away from Krakow (though transfers aren't very expensive)

    Beautiful city but avoid Wizzair. They are terrible.

    Or legs? Rumour is that they have the least leg room.

    Great price and fab City but Wizzair have already cancelled on us twice this year so much so that we have had to hire a minibus to get us to Warsaw AND another minibus to take an alternative flight from Newcastle (originally Leeds) to save the hotel reservation.

    If that wasn’t bad enough, they then they cancelled a flight to Faro.

    Maybe we were just unlucky but... :/ 😡

    After multiple poor experiences with Wizzair I now boycott them. A highlight was a return flight from Spain delayed exactly 2h 59m (you know why) but the last straw was Krakow last year when, ONE week beforehand, they changed my return flight from Monday at 19.30 to 06.30 on Sunday! I only flew out on the Friday, totally ruined my trip, sick of them.
