I own one and it's decent for the discounted price. I think it was about £80 when it came out.
For anyone who doesn't know, it doesn't require charging and it isn't relying on Bluetooth, so the connection is bang on. The buttons are responsive and it feels like a quality piece of kit that folds away into a light and easy to carry item, ideal for travel on budget airlines that only let you take a small bag away with you.
The only downside (and it's a bit of a big one sadly) is that for games that require quicker reactions and more arm movement (footy, driving, fighting, etc), the design isn't very rigid on the left side of the controller as it's not plugged into anything and really just hooks over the top of your phone. It feels like you have to be reserved in your movements or it might pop off, or even worse, potentially break unless you're more careful.
For me, it meant that I have to choose suitable slower paced titles to avoid any unnecessary stress on the device.
Having said that, I prefer it to 8bitdo controllers I also own, but will likely upgrade it to something with a solid-piece back, down the line. Yes, they're less compact, but I think they'd offer a superior gaming experience to this. (edited)
