Just a heads up that Ben & Jerry's free cone day is finally returning on April 3rd between midday and 8pm (I believe the last one was in 2019). Grab a free cone at your nearest ice cream scoop shop on the day at your nearest scoop shop, typically at cinemas.

"Every time you enjoy a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s, you’re showing us how much you care. We love you too, and Free Cone Day is our favourite way to show it! This year’s extravaganza will be taking place on MONDAY 3rd April, so be sure to mark your calendars, grab your friends and get ready to visit the nearest Scoop Shop.'

p.s. I double checked the date with their customer service team who also confirmed the date as wasn't 100% sure they had updated the page correctly. as there were references to 2020 in the url.

The website lists my local cinema as the nearest scoop shop, anyone know if that would be good for a free cone?

I think it's up to the location whether or not they participate since they're all concessions. My nearest one is in an Odeon cinema and they have participated in the past but some years they didn't so best to check with the specific location.

When I take up this offer in the US, it is kind of expected you make a donation to a charity and I always part with a couple of dollars, it's their way of passing on their success. Is it easy to do the same in the UK?

It would be nice if they did but if not then you could always donate online to a charity

    Good find Chanchi!

I expect we might get the odd post asking if it's possible to get one of these and keep it in the freezer until later

For only one free cone you have to travel very far such a pity

Much fewer locations taking part compared with previous years. Used to be basically every Odeon. Now just one in London is taking part.

I can't see any ODEON listed for London

Last comment deleted by Mods due to mentioning those who must not be criticised.

Fully support Ben and Jerry's for putting ethics and decency before profits.

Let's see if this one is acceptable (edited)

What a shame... seems to be very few locations involved.
For Sheffield/Doncaster the nearest are Manchester and Wigan.
I typed in Yorkshire, and found one near Catterick.
For Nottingham, it listed these then Gloucester, Birmingham, High Wycombe and Swindon.

Ever since they stopped having 3 scoop shops a minute from eachother I didn't find it as worth going, the queue is quite long and depending how much it costs to travel there you could buy a tub and get much more for the same price as travel, to me only worth it as a fun day with friends!

Yeah, I went Wardour Street. 10 minute queue which was fine and they were happy for people to request as many times as they wanted. But then walked 2 mins to Leicester Square and saw people paying at the scoop shop there. If you don't know...

Back in the day, could do the rounds. But good you could requeue anyway.
