Good price, but if you like a tipple, the drinks package costs more than the cruise!

P&O drinks packages aren't worth getting in my own opinion.
As I posted on the other thread for this cruise, drinks prices on P&O are pretty reasonable (unlike most other cruise lines). If your regular pub isn't a Wetherspoons or social club then the ship prices are pretty similar to what you would normally pay in a pub.
When we cruised in October last year, we stayed overnight in Southampton and went to the pub. I paid more for a pint than I did on the ship.
P&O drinks package per person per day costs the same as about 9 pints. It's also quite restrictive in what it covers. Unless you are a very heavy drinker (don't forget that you won't be on the ship very much during port days) then pay as you go is definitely the best value on P&O

This cruise has been posted recently as a P&O offer. Slightly more expensive with P&O but look for that deal if you want more information/discussion on this cruise and P&O cruises in general

Does this include 2 nights' stay on a bus seat in Dover?

The reason why i book direct with P&O is that i had a bad experience with Iglu trying to get money back when lockdown started. Also if you hold 100 shares in Carnival you can claim £150 on board spend for a 2 week cruise on P&O , Carnival, Cunard, Holland America and Costa. This benefit is for each cruise but has to be claimed at least 4 weeks before sailing.

I understand you had a bad experience with Iglu but this is booked with Seascanner not Iglu. (edited)

These cuise ship companies are desperate to get people to forget about the people stuck on a cruise ship during covid, and desperatly trying to get people to turn a blind eye on the amount of greenhouse gas and waste they produce each year. Are they really that enjoyable?

Cruises are great and the prices at the minute rival package holidays via flying, as for people stuck on a cruise ship during covid, how is that the cruise companies fault if a port wouldn't let them dock

Wasn’t this on here yesterday even cheaper?

No this deal is even cheaper, yesterday's deal was £1198 on P&O Cruises. This is on Seascanner for an even cheaper saving of 6%. Everyday savings... (edited)

Seems a cracking deal for a cruise!

First hol I've priced that wanted to charge extra for our baby though, +£300. Interestingly looks like it's only +£150 if they were 10 years old so still a great deal to bring along kids.

I've booked this any suggestions on parking? Or maybe even book a night somewhere and leave car there for the duration please?
