Hardly. All the food you can eat is included and the only reason for paying more is if you choose to eat in one of the chargeable eating places.

Great price, however Insurance companies require an upgrade on cruises over 30 days (that's with an annual insurance).

The price you save on the cruise we made up in the prices of the drinks and the food

Mini cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam £30 with DFDS Seaways

Price based on 2 people sharing, return. Selected departures until 29 Dec. Book by 14 Dec.

You sleep on the ferry 2 nights and I love Amsterdam so I'm going to call it a cruise :-) Wouldn't thank you for a trip on one of the big cruise ships that travel round ruining small island economies with a load of people who think they have made it because they spent £8k on a holiday lol

rossysaurus

A long ferry crossing is now marketed as a mini cruise? Can I interest you in tickets to the London M25 slow car parade? Perhaps the Heathrow cavity check? Free background checks included and the opportunity to upgrade to the intensive conversation package. Or maybe my patented wallet weight loss plan? How secure is your internet banking? We can test it!

one watch out at this time of year is they often dont get any time to get off the ship, due to weather making the trip across quite slow.

Just did this a week last Monday. Highly recomended the "watermen" as they call themselves, do talks with lots of humour. We used our railyway tickets and got two all day (24hr) City Cruises passes for a two for one i.e. half price at £18.75 total. These look even better value for a 72hr pass. Heat added.

love these MyVegas Deals - have used a few over the last few years. Currently building up my gold coins for next year's trip. :)

gilesthelad

Hey guys does this include Royal Charm Slots as well?

katejones1

For us it is but each to there own. I enjoy playing it so it's not an effort. I'm not obsessed with gaining gold but treat it as a bonus. Last time we went to Vegas we had 2 free entries to the secret garden at the Mirage, a couple of free buffets, $50 free food voucher and some free play in the Casinos. Not been for a couple of years but am at almost 1 million gold and my other half is not far behind so next trip we will get free rooms for maybe 4 nights at Bellagio, some free food and more free play. It's a shame it's only MGM properties as we love Venetian / Palazzo but free is free!

Darkwaxer

Is this worth the time you put into it? How much gold do you earn a day for example?

katejones1

English just a heads up, you can get the same heli trip for around £350, with this reward it's just $100 off the full retail price so works out more than just buying a flight cash! Be wiser to use your gold on a different reward and just pay for your Grand Canyon flight.

Even with an amicable discussion (amazingly nobody has insulted anyone, as is usually the case) the comments made by some people are very loaded and typify what is wrong with the tipping culture. A reasonable argument is spoiled by comments such as: "If you want to be a Scrooge . . . . ", ". . . if you want to be as mean as that. . ." and so on. What you are doing is telling people they are wrong in a round about way and dismissing their opinion according to your own standards. I have become very aware of a backlash against tipping particularly in poor countries, where a single tip can amount to more than a week's wages. This skews the local economy and puts unfair pressure on those who do not do the type of job where tipping is common, and creates a situation where everyone wants to do this type of job rather than do a real job (i.e. a necessary one). Then there is the problem I hear more and more about customers on all-inclusive holidays being snubbed by bar staff who don't hand them a tip on every drink serving despite the fact that no money should be changing hands. In reality, most countries I have visited never initially had a tipping culture but thanks to our friends from the USA, it has been introduced to them, and it goes through the stage of acceptable-encouraged-compulsory-bullying. Despite the best interests of those who say tipping is a personal thing, it just doesn't work like that, and there are enough greedy and hard faced people around who will make people uncomfortable for those who do not hand over extra cash. I appreciate this is a topic about cruises, and that's where the problem lies, because if I am on land and I don't want to tip, then I can go elsewhere, but on a cruise I don't have a choice. Yes, I can opt of of the 'compulsory' tipping if I want, but then we hear of incidents of the list of opt-outers posted on the staff notice board to give a free for all to give problems to those customers. I'm not saying this is the norm, but I really don't want to take the risk that this may happen on my expensive holiday. If the correct price for the trip was charged in the first place, all these problems would go away. As far as I am concerned I cannot be the guardian for the low paid staff. It is 100% the fault of their employers that they are low paid, but tipping gives employers carte blanche to continue the low pay culture . If they do their job well, they will be appreciated verbally, and that should be sufficient. I've even heard of people being expected to tip ship's officers and the captain in these extra charges. No way are they going to be poor.

True but I wasn't referring to 4K discs but DVD and Blu-ray specifically. There's just so much not available digitally yet but it's so cheap and easy to grab the DVD, rather than waiting for an eventual iTunes release. Not to mention one can import certain titles only available in the US or other parts of the world as well. It's one of the big roadblocks in me going digital is the fact there won't be everything available.

EstorilBlue

Totally understand, but on the flip side iTunes actually offers a lot of 4K titles not available on 4K disc!

michael.boundary

You’ll just receive a message upon purchase saying you already own one or more of the films in the bundle. You’ll pay the same, the one you have will be overwritten.

Fixitbob

I bought Jack Reacher 2 the other day off eBay for £2. If I buy this bundle do you get a discount for owning 1 if the films or do you have duplicate copies or something?

gulfam1

I'm not gonna bother mentioning the limitations of whatever of Apple 4K vs disc. However, the one thing that iTunes lacks is choice. There are many movies that perhaps will never be available on iTunes that is available on 1080p Blu-ray. Just next month there will be the release of Jackie Chan's Police Story 1&2 boxset from new 4K transfers. If the option doesn't exist to purchase on iTunes then you either have to grab the discs or go without. ITunes is only good for big Hollywood movies and even then there are movies missing, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake being one key example.

I am still a newbie as this is my first post :) . Everyone has to start somewhere. It does not matter whether I have posted anything before or not. No one has given you the authority to make decisions. The rules are rules...you have to show appreciation or simply get lost. Simple as that. I do not understand why you are showing your tantrum as if someone has stepped on your tail. Also, it is you who sarcastically stated 'unexpire it' without even being supportive to the post because you did not like someone else doing it on their own. If it really bothered you, then you should have kept up to date with your post to unexpire it yourself. People are not sitting here for you. And once I receive your comment I explained the situation and I am not the one throwing insults. You should be able to read before coming up with assumptions. And suggestions like you are super mad that I posted one myself. Oh I get it. Yours was somewhere 400 hot that is why you are getting really upset. And your first post rarely went up until 49%. Please show some decency for others. And remember in those years I have been a user here I have many times personally voted your posts 'hot'. I regret that. Get a life will you. Do not post more negative comments here it shows you are a sadistic person. I have posted this offer for the benefit of others and I do not have to do anything with you. Whoever wants to benefit from it is more than welcome. If you do not like it then please stay away. Thanks

Agreed, it can be lengthy in the summer season and I don’t think it’s for everyone. But if you’re new to the city or exploring it can be quite lovely once you’re on board. And you could stay on for the whole journey as a round trip if that’s easier.

ukflyboy

I used this a few weeks ago and was a bit disappointed. We spent more time loading and unloading passengers than we did going up and down the Thames. Having left Westminster Pier we then went straight over to London Eye and picked people up from there which took longer that it would have for the people just to walk across the bridge! Commentary was reasonably interesting, but is just delivered by one of the crew, so delivery can be hit and miss. For the price it's still not a bad deal, but travelling up the river once was enough for me, I'd rather tube back than hop on and off for a few days.

Haha, I don't mind at all, it was Direct with Royal Caribbean. The free drinks package offer ended on 2nd July but keep your eye out, they bring it back regularly. Celebrity have a free drinks and wifi offer on at the moment, they're great cruises as well. It shows £1693 total but there was also $300 (£230) on board spends included which we can use to buy cigarettes and Grey Goose :D which we would buy anyway, so that makes it approx £1463 for the 2 of us.
