Exactly true. Worked on these ships on this route about 20 years ago. Appreciate prices will differ now but they were expensive back then.

Busman’s holiday for some people

Half the fun of this trip is the trip over to Amsterdam. It’s very much a stag/ hen. Lads/lasses weekend away type thing. Finish early on a Friday. Drink pre boat. On boat. In Amsterdam and sleep on way back. Then home for work on Monday. if you want to see Amsterdam they have extended stay options normally via dfds.

Days of thunder and top gun are the stand out movies in this collection. But I don’t think they will be the later remastered versions which are worth looking at for the improved picture and sound. The premium collection blu ray of Top Gun looks great and comes with a really good Atmos soundtrack. Heat for the price but the earlier blu ray releases of these were not great.

Jaffryera

Not a bad collection of films. Heat. It does look like they've gone with a picture that resembles how Cruise would look if he happened to be standing at the next urinal to you at a gig or something.

Different distributors, Universal and Warner Bros., these are all from Paramount. We do get multi-studio sets on occasion, but not this time.

Oblivion is one of my favourites to put on and just watch ... love the music and the way its taken... like the story too

Is it £100 off with tui? I can’t find it on BL

I did the same repositoning cruise last year on virtually the same day (Sat the clocks changed). The Atlantic was like glass for 6 days, couldn't tell you were moving. I believe that course is generally like that at that time of year, further southwest you can see rafts of weed from the Sargasso Sea and flying fish disturbed by the ship. Obviously with nature there are exceptions to the norm so if you are really concerned about sea sickness don't get on a boat. Overall the trip was superb and doing it again this year.

becka343

Take travel sickness tablets. I'm VERY seasick and I've never had a problem when I've taken them, the last cruise I went on was really rough too.

As I said, I don’t think I ever want to go on a cruise again given just how pessimistic scientists are about covid and future pandemics. It really depends on what you are looking for, and if you are price sensitive, which I am ;) , then my preferred option changes all the time with the global nature of tourism. I would book transatlantic if I wanted an expensive cabin class, when I wanted a long cruise they stopped in lots of places I took advantage of the hysteria around ships passing anywhere near syria for a bargain price on a fairly basic room for 40nights, but my favourite destination is Egypt by far and when all the tourists ran away from Africa because of the Arab spring I booked one of the most expensive boats for an even cheaper price than a Norwegian cruise per night and the boat was almost empty. These days my advice is to stay home! Or the Canary Islands are a good spot for some sun…. Since I moved there I don’t really feel the need to go on holiday any more :D

robertfrancis1975

Which river cruises do you recommend?

Lexeus

The Nile cruises have much younger averages, with much more interesting things to do and see in the Sun too!

yozzman1234

Yes I have done a few river cruises . And I feel the staff attach too you more as smaller numbers . But on average a river cruise is £150-£200 per person per night . So I Would hope everything is better . What I didn’t like about river cruising was normal cruising the average passenger is about 50 . River cruising was about 80 (lol)

Lexeus

For completeness my cruise experience comes from Cunard and Norwegian, and also numerous small river cruises from less well known companies which offer a much smaller number of passengers a much better quality of food

I am trying to get in touch with someone to try to amend by booking but am unable to access my reservation online (doesn't work). When using live chat I get told that they can't help me and redirect me to a phone number which no one seems to pick up :/ Anyone else managed to amend/cancel successfully? Thanks Edit: Managed to get in touch with someone finally at 0800 083 2841

Majorclatto

Cheaper than booking the hotel in its own by a £100

Hi thank you, could share a link pls, they are going to phone me back , thank you Found it😃

supamart

Yep…

Denny185

I think they are desperate for business. I imagine a lot of people are staying away from them after the pandemic. One thing you can be sure of on a cruise ship is that you will share all your little bugs with everyone else!

robertfrancis1975

Comparing a multi million pound cruise ship to a ferry, really?

jut1972

Pretty much the standard price isn't it?

azzap

Is it just me or have cruises not seen the same inflation or price increases that other sectors of the business have??
