Universal’s Aventura Hotel will let you experience a fresh and fun way to stay – in a space that fits your style.

This hotel goes all out in the style stakes, with a swanky rooftop bar and a sleek, all-glass exterior.

You’ll be right on the cusp of the action here, with Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, and Universal's Volcano Bay all on your doorstep. There’ll be a free shuttle bus to run you to all three.

Holidays here come with our 24/7 Online service. This means that info and support are available 24/7 via the TUI app. Just so you know, a TUI rep won't visit your hotel during your stay.

Each room booking must include a guest aged 21 or above. When you arrive, you may be asked for a credit card to cover any ad hoc purchases, and a deposit, which will be refunded at the end of your stay - provided no damage has been caused to your room or its contents.

Probably spend more on food over there than on the cost of hotel and flights, friend just came back and said it’s getting expensive. They paid $3.50 for 2 bananas and $8 for a Magnum ice cream on Int.Dr.
I know the £ to $ isn’t great at the moment.

If that’s true, this ‘deal’ is awful?

We paid this price last September for 11 nights, from LGW. Hotel is truly superb, 10 min walk to universal. Free transport if you don’t fancy the walk. Uber to Disney and other destinations. I would go back in a heartbeat… if the price was right!

This is a good deal but week is not enough and get a cheaper hotel and you will get two weeks for that price.

Going in Feb for 2 weeks - my partner, daughter and me. Wondering roughly how much spending money to take. A lot I think haha

You need surprisingly little cash now that America has finally caught on to Chip and Pin + contactless. I'd strongly recommend having a fallback card as American systems were a bit more temperamental when I went. I'd make sure you always have enough cash on you for a day's expenses but pay as much as you can by card. Get a no-fee overseas spending card, if a card machine ever gives you a choice between currencies, always pick dollars (you get your bank's exchange rate instead of whatever unknown rate the merchant charges). Also keep at least $20 in small bills for tips and vending machines.

In terms of money needed (cash or card), $30 a day parking at theme parks, $15pp for lunch, $30-50pp for dinner (can save money at fast food, themed restaurants at Disney get stupidly expensive). $15pp for snacks and coffees. Lots of easy ways to cut down on that though, included/subsidised hotel breakfast buffers save money and leave you full enough not to need lunch and carryable bottles of water that you refill at water fountains can save a small fortune over buying drinks.
