Bought this, the picture quality is fantastic, it really quite extraordinary how it deals with colours. So natural.

Had a Hisense A9G before which has the same panel of the C1. It's not even close, this is miles better.

Speakers are just okay, plenty loud but not full sounding, and bass is non existent.

Had to get a soundbar and sub. (edited)

Must be something wrong with this TV. No reviews at all

It's John Lewis Exclusive. Panasonic don't sell TVs to the US or Australia either.

Look at reviews of the LZ980B. This is fairly close to that with added brightness, as it has a heatsink and a better panel. Not even a C2 has a heatsink! (edited)

This LZ1000B will be just the same as last years JZ1000B and be a copy of the LZ980 with increased backlight drive.
It will compare to TVs like the LG C2 or Philips OLED707/807 but will be a step below TVs like the Samsung S95B and Sony A95K.
    AJ10's avatar

No the LZ1000 is not comparable to the LG C2 or Philips 706, since the LZ1000 is ahead of them in terms of picture performance. The LZ980 is more comparable to the C2 or Philips 706.

Also the LZ1000 is not “just as same” as last years JZ1000 since the JZ1000 didn’t have a Heatsink in the panel whilst this LZ1000 does.

Patiently waiting for the Sony a80k to hit this price point. This is testing my resolve however.

I was going to get an A80k, got this, and am happy with my choice.

This does get brighter, and I prefer Pansonic's colour tuning. A bit more natural, especially out of the box. The heatsink in this will also help prevent potential image retention or burn in. I've heard, but don't quote me on this, the A80K has an older panel, the same as the A80J, just with a beefier chipset with more processing features. Still looks great mind.

This has a swivel stand, not sure any other OLED's do? I quite like it, and it's surprisingly easy to manoeuvre. Sony's is quite clever with the different feet positions. All personal preference though really.

Motion is better on the Sony, but Panasonic is second to it, better than Samsung and LG. Not a huge amount in it.

Sound is also better on the Sony, class leading in fact, but that didn't hold much value to my decision to or for it.

Given that the Sony is more money, and this looks better (in my opinion), I think this is a solid buy.

So annoying there's so few reviews of this. Would love to see a direct comparison with the LG C2. What does it lose compared to the highly reviewed LZ2000?

Also, how much does this one normally cost? (edited)

This Panasonic deal or the Samsung 55” QN700B Neo QLED 8K HDR Smart TV (2022) (samsung.com/uk/…xu/? With the Samsung TV, I can get the price down to £1079.10 and then possibly get a further 8% cashback from TCB. Thanks in advance for the help!

I've the baby 55 inch. PQ is astounding and build quality is typical Panasonic. Very very solid.

Augment with a pair of Dali Spektor 2's, Spektor/Zensor centre and a Marantz 5015. You've got yourself a very capable and expandable home theatre set-up

I have the a older model Panasonic hz1500.
and the menus etc, all look quite simple compared to other TV manufacturers.
but it's a plus imo as you can navigate very fast.

all the apps I use on the TV, work fast aswell.
(and I'm guessing my processer is slower than this one) as it's a few years old.

yeah you can rewind TV etc, on alot of TVs. but generally speaking you need to connect a harddrive of some form.

I am after a 65 inch to replace a normal 58 Hisense, running Nvidia streaming for YouTube, IPTV and Xbox X gaming and BluRay movies. Wanted to spend about £1000 for an upgrade, but now HUKD has got me thinking about this bad boy. Should I be interested for my needs?

Well good luck getting a OLED 65 for £1000. This is about as low as it goes, as it then goes out of stock. But the 48/42" can go down to £800. Depends what size ur after.

For £1000 your looking at the 55" stuff for OLEDs.

Author has mentioned this has 2 Full HDMI 2.1 ports, while the LG C2 has 4, but they only really matters for the 4k 120. As this has a heatskink this is the better choice. As the G2 is the only LG model with a heat sink for the higher peak brightness.

If your feeling enthusiastic, the upcoming G3s get even brighter but they cost a good bit more and your gonna have to wait 8/12 months to come down to this process for the 55 (I think).

Why on earth do they put 120hz on this thing? If you really care about 120hz (which should only be for gaming) you should never play on an input delay heavy 65” TV, rather pick up a monitor for 10% of the price.

Had mine delivered Wednesday, set it up straight away, no problems at all. Really pleased with the quality, for straight out the box settings it's awesome. Dolby vision looks great as does HDR. Auto AI seems to work well so far, doing all the work for me, picture is great for normal sky hd but really shines on Netflix and Apple TV. Watch a lot of Footie and what I've seen so far is really crisp. The colours really burst out on it and look really natural and unlike my previous Sammy, I can now see dark scenes clearly. My Easter purchase has made me one happy bunny.

The only TV OS that's kinda done right is Apple TV, this is coming from someone who is an Android nut through and through. Unfortunately being Apple it's not available built into TVs.

Android TV was great until they added adverts, Google TV which replaces it is an adfest, same goes for Amazon FireOS which is actually what Google TV aimed for. Tizen (Samsung) has adverts, I believe WebOS (LG) is clean though? The proprietary OS's based on Opera are OK but app support for new apps like you have alluded to is their downside.

Cracking bit of kit, I snagged this the last time this discount was on JL (Linky: hotukdeals.com/com…462) and it's been great for TV/movies/sports viewing. I don't game on it so can't speak to that.

Surprisingly decent build quality and the swivel stand is sturdier than it looks and feels -- the whole unit has taken a bit of a pounding on occasion from my 2 year old and doesn't show any ill-effects. Yet.

Edited to add: I've got the TV placed in a reasonably bright part of my house, and the brightness holds up quite nicely in the daytime, even when up against my large east-facing windows. (edited)

Would it be safe to assume the 55 inch version of this is exactly the same and for £1099 better value than C2 or G2& £1500? Was going to pull trigger on the 65 till I realised it won’t fit!

If you have the money G2 will be the better TV overall. From what I've been reading, although the C2 is a fantastic TV, this one will beat it a bit on brightness due to the added heatsink. LG beats the Panny on OS though.
