How long do the batteries last from lifespan sense? Would these still serve its purpose after a couple of years?

The Battery should have a life of 5yrs, but this is dependent on several variables. Temperature, how often the battery is used in anger, charging voltage and current, float voltage.

In practice, the battery life is 3-5yrs. I usually recommend that the battery is replaced between 4 and 5yrs.

The battery should be inspected periodically. It may be 'maintenance free', but that doesn't mean 'fit and forget'.

Without access to specialist test equipment (multimeter, current clamp, load bank, impedance/conductance tester), carry out a visual check at least every 6 months, and a 'load test'.
Look for signs of splitting/swelling, terminal corrosion or growth, leaking. Pull the main power cable out, let the system run on battery and see how long it lasts.

If you're satisfied after performing these basic visual checks, and are happy with the run time, then leave it for 6 months. Put a bit tape on the ups, and write the time it ran on battery for, on the tape.
You'll see the battery run time degrade over the life of the battery. Assuming the visuals are OK, swap the battery when the run time becomes unacceptable, or every 5yrs at the latest.

anyone know if the battery is replaceable in this unit? I need something to keep an ONT and a WiFi router on-line during blackouts this looks perfect for it but I want one where I can replace the battery and the batts are easy to find etc. Thanks.

Talk of insurance and risks when replacing the battery is a bit OTT for this item. Literally the first thing you have to do when you get it is slide off the cover and connect the battery and APC sell replacements as has been mentioned. (edited)

I got one on the spain deal as well.
No noise from it and the battery pops out you have to do this to connect it before use.
Looks like a APC lid on a standard block so cheap to change.

USE - router to keep you ip address on smart equipment, server which I have set to shut down after 5 mins.
plug in a led lamp for light. usb to charge a phone.

NO use - your not going to run a tv etc sound bars to watch films

Powercut - your off to be on your phones tablets etc.

GAS - wonderful stuff for boiling weter for a brew.

My TV runs off one of these. Not for long, unless I upgraded the battery.

Does it have USB notification? So it will tell my server to shutdown due to power loss?

    Yes

Note that this is a modified sine wave inverter. This is unlikely to be an issue for most, as this is an offline system. i.e. This only runs on Inverter when the mains supply goes outside the tolerance limits of the UPS.
I don't know what the tolerance is and cba looking, but 207 - 253V (+/- 10% based on 230V) shouldn't be too far off.

Regarding Battery changing: if you're confident at changing the battery yourself, then consider buying the battery monobloc/s rather than the APC RBC. It's significantly cheaper. A short Google search will tell you the Ah of your original battery, and the fitting type (usually F2 - a push on/ pull off connector) (edited)

I think my router, hive and arlo run at about 25 watts together so can be handy to keep the wifi up and connected to arlo for my cctv (wont matter if the broadband cabinet looses power as wont need a direct internet connection to keep them running, well without notifications anyway).

750VA model with 3 kettle lead style outputs (add a kettle lead to 4 way extension) is just £64.99 if you can be bothered Check this out! amzn.eu/d/h…kHQ which is also a reasonable deal

I also use mine for powering a Modem/Router and gracefully shutting down a NAS drive in the event of a sustained power cut, anyone looking to use it for much more is probably in for dissapointment, it wouldn't keep a PC running for very long for example but would give you time to shut down gracefully.

Does anyone know how much they consume power Standby ?

Just looked Tech data sheet all about output but nothing about how much UPS using power on it is own ?
I know battery is discharging and need constant charge so this consume power ?

I want to have my CCTV with NAS running through power cuts. Together that’s around 100w. How long would it run for on this UPS?

Would it be safe to store in the attic? I have my PoE switch for CCTV there, so would be handy if the UPS could be next to the switch, although I am concerned about the safety due to low / high temperatures and minor dust from insulation
