Most deals these days aren't taking into account the price increased that's happened this April. £16 per month has now turned into £18.30 per month for this deal. Probably something to think about before going for it.
But I guess this price increase will affect all other networks in similar ways. I just wish they showed the new correct monthly price on their website instead of having a clause written when you add this to the basket.

I am talking about the price increase this month that's already happened. This package isn't £16 per month anymore. It's £18.30. I know this because I've already got same package from last year (edited)

I was on the same deal last year and just took out this offer and upgraded a few days ago. Already received my sim and plan had been updated. Can confirm price is £16 pm.

So just double checking here but if I have a plan with Vodafone currently that is out of contract, I can take this plan out and add it to my account but then I can cancel my original contract and continue with the new line? There’s no requirement to keep both lines active for cashback? (edited)

as part of the application on mobiles.co.uk you will provide your existing mobile phone number and they'll care of the rest, to the extent that you just keep using the same sim and ignore the sim they post over to you. Very smooth experience for me, signed up two weeks ago

I am considering signing up to this as a new customer - but I have a quick question - does anyone have any experience of using Airtime rewards with this cashback deal - will mobiles.co.uk still pay the cashback if you pay your bill via Airtime rewards credits? Thanks

I got a tenner back from my Sammy Tab purchase via Airtime rewards last month - applied it to my Vody sim and it appeared off of my account a couple of days later. No issues!

I was worried about doing it against a month that I was due to submit a cashback claim. I made sure it was a non-cashback month but I'm not sure if that would have affected anything?

I've also gone from being a sim only (via Mobiles.co.uk) customer to a Vodafone Together customer. Again, no issue with my claims

TopCashBack lists £20 for upgrade sims.
If that works out and all cashback is claimed I make this £6.08pcm for 100gb data

That's interesting as variants of this deal in the past have usually only counted as 'cashback by redemption' and so have the lower tier of cashback, currently £10. However, this specific upgrade deal is explicitly listed under special deals as £20. In the past I have pointed out to TCB where special deals have been incorrect - they post up deals that the merchant supplies them.

If taking out this deal, you could use this picture or take your own screenshot. The deal will normally track at something low such as £5 to begin with, then uplift after a few weeks. If it were to only uplift to £10, then a claim could be made to TCB for the full amount.

Oh, thanks for this. Mine is coming up soon.

This time around I need to plan around the bill date and payment date better, ended up paying extra last time. Help would be nice for this. My bill is usually generated on the 11th but goes out on the 21st. When would be the ideal time to do the upgrade?
    whitman_the_cat's avatar
    whitman_the_cat
The bill generation and payment dates shouldn't matter or give reason to overpay. The new plan would go live from the upgrade date and if overpaid from a previous bill, the next bill would be reduced.

Are you on sim only now? The best time is usually up to 75 days before the contract end date assuming this deal would mean paying less than you do now. The dates can be found in the app or in the online account.

    I would avoid mobiles.co.uk !!

The deal is banging, but the aftercare and cheque collection is third world and awful

    Stay clear !!!

I signed up for this deal last year. First time i had done a cashback deal and OK it isnt the quickest service but it was easy and the cheques did arrive so will probably be signing up again.

Horrendous customer service. And it will be over 28 days for checked to be received.

agree with this for customer service, took out a similar deal a couple of weeks ago and Vodafone were useless for giving me a PAC code to port back out. Kept getting passed to different departments on webchat and given conflicting info (including the suggestion that it would be mobiles.co.uk that would have to issue the PAC and not Vodafone 🥴) and customer services were equally unhelpful when speaking to them over the phone. Managed to get it sorted by issuing a complaint to them but a complete hassle to deal with and wouldn't consider choosing Vodafone again because of this.

Don't count on Cashbacks, they don't like giving cashback redemptions, everytime you have to call them about cashback even you submit through on their web and all fine, they are making deliberately hard to claim.keep clear from mobiles.co.uk.

Does anyone know what speed sim this is? Vodafone do 2mb, 10mb and max, some of them say what speed, others including this don't
I assume roaming isn't included anymore!?

I work in Portsmouth and my 5G signal is great there - there doesn't appear to be any limiting on it whatsoever... Even indoors today, I was getting 140MB plus.

Don't expect your cheques to be sent out quickly. I applied for my first cash back claim on March the 15th, verified the same day and I'm still waiting for it. Apparently I have to wait till the 28th April before I can query anything. (edited)

I’m currently on a cash back deal with mobiles, the three previous claims have been dealt with quickly but my March claim is taking a lot longer to arrive…I’m waiting for the 28 working days too..I initially thought it might be a Royal Mail issue, but obviously not

Back when I had 15GB on voda, I had a chat with them online, then later called too.

Basically asked, I'm seeing this deal for 100GB online, can you do it? They just said no, they have no such plan on their system. I was like but I'm seeing it here on mobiles.co.uk. Then they're like third parties can offer what they want on the vodafone network, they control all that, that's out of our hands (I guess they have a partnership that allows that?)

I read once on here, someone in the past who had 100GB plan, upgraded to the same plan of 100GB and it got added on instead of replaced so they were paying £8.XX for 200GB instead of the 100GB it was meant to be. Maybe this could have been a mistake too but they have somewhat control of your plan. (edited)

Is it easy to transfer existing number over using pac code through this site?
    whitman_the_cat's avatar
    whitman_the_cat
If you aren't with Vodafone already, that's a different deal working out to an effective £8pm. I think the PAC is easy and can either be given at purchase or done later with Vodafone.

This deal is for those already on Vodafone. So no need for PACs or transfers.

A new 'action required' stage, post order? - That's a new one. It looks like a standard, 'do you agree to these Ts & Cs etc.', but after ordering... pretty sure they could have incorporated it into the initial order stage
