Oh wow, just checked the itinerary and it's even worse than I imagined.
    You have 2 * self-transfers.
    i.e. unprotected connections.
You need to go landside, collect your bags and check-in again.
I am unsure if you need to satisfy any local visa or entry requirements - you are afterall entering a 3rd country erven if it is simply to pickup bags and to check in for your next flight.
Any delays or cancellations on your flights will lead to you missing your connection and YOU will be liable for it, not Kiwi and not the airline. Kiwi will not want to know and YOU will need to buy (at walk-up rates) new flights back home.

As I say, avoid Kiwi and avoid other online travel agents who cobble together such awful unprotected journeys.

    ***AVOID KIWI***

This is a quick link to the search term 'Kiwi' on Tripadvisor's air travel forum.
Have a glance through the hundreds if not thousands of negative experiences with this awful agency.

    Buyer beware.

    More info:

For all those intending to go to the blessed land, may Allāh make your journey easy and accept your worship.

The Hotel chosen above in the link is the cheapest I’ve found based in the popular place Azizyah. As mentioned the government provides many free modern buses regularly on the main road so not much a walk to the bus stops either. These will drop you near Masjid al haram.

Also, for those that don’t have the eVisa, please follow the following link and apply - Visa takes only a few minutes to get approved it’s super quick: visa.visitsaudi.com/

Visa is 12 months multiple entry: £113 (534 Saudi Riyal conversion)

Also note: The flight has a 12 hour overnight stay in Budapest - You can book stays near the airport for like £30-50 for the night if you want instead of staying at airport.

If you want to use local taxis, use the Careem/Uber apps… from Azizyah to Haram it’ll between £8-12 for a single journey, this is the current rate but should get cheaper after Eid in sha Allah.

    Stay well clear of Kiwi
This travel agent has way above average number of complaints when you look across various travel related forums - especially on Tripadvisor.
If everything goes according to plan (i.e. no delays or changes) then you should be OK. As soon as something changes, e.g. airline changes their schedule you are in a world of trouble as Kiwi will be near impossible to contact and they will continuously insist that you need to resolve the issue directly with the airline (the airline will tell you to deal with Kiwi as that is the party that you payed for your travel).
Also, read their t&cs regarding additional charges for any changes that you want to make - they will add a large admin fee on top of whatever the airline or hotel would have charged.

Companies like Kiwi rely on revenue made through additional fees & charges.
Avoid Kiwi, and avoid most other online travel agents (so called OTAs).

Where possible, book directly with airlines or go to a reputable travel agent that has a bricks & mortar physical office.

Remember the chance of this happening compared to the number of people that fly and make it isn’t so bad. If you can get a flight direct from Wizz Air etc then go for it yes more security.

Remember his is a budget trip and don’t expect the standard economy. I’d advise for those who are used to backpacking trips and don’t mind a little hardship or less luxury, book these tickets.

Don’t fear cancellations or any other negativity if it happens it happens.

Put your trust in Allāh and do the best you can. If you can make it then it was written for you, if not then next time in sha Allāh.

Worst case you won’t lost your money you’ll get it back if the fault is not yours and the agents/airlines.

Must be noted - the return airport is different to the one you’re taking off from.

We stayed in Aziziyah (Park Inn) between 3rd to 6th Ramadan this year.

Using the same route via Budapest. Any questions ping me! Happy to help. (edited)

I really wanted to go this Ramadan but my brother put me off saying its costing thousands. Not apparently.
    P. S. Maybe a little late for Umrah this Ramadan as no one is allowed after 20th Ramadan.

I’m not sure where you got the info about not being able to go for umrah after 20th.

It's so sad Umrah and Hajj are so expensive nowadays. How do people in this country and poorer countries manage to afford it.

I can't blame HotUkdeals for my finances though.

"It's so sad Umrah and Hajj are so expensive nowadays. How do people in this country and poorer countries manage to afford it."
    It isn't the same price.
For instance, someone from Indonesia wanting to do Haj would pay less for their package than someone from the USA.

And anyway, as I understand it: if you cannot afford it, then it isn't compulsory for you (simplified it a bit) (edited)

I plan Stopover Umrah up to 4 days on Saudi Airlines in June from London. Grateful for tips to create itinerary for DIY Solo Budget Umrah. Many flights up to 110 hours, what's the ideal timing to arrive jeddah, hotels in mecca and Madinah, transportation etc. £75 per day x 4 days? Thanks

Go between cities using the high speed train but book early, if unavailable try satco vip or direct taxi. Try and book something as close to the masjids as possible if you have the budget. Download the careem and Uber apps to get rough pricing for shorter trips then hail a normal taxi and haggle. You can try booking through the apps but I found that you end up waiting a while

Terrible flights from a terrible provider.. avoid Kiwi if possible..

whilst it is cheap, the itinerary is shocking. I get it you want to do Umrah on the cheap but this isn't really a deal!

Using 3 different budget airlines with unprotected connections in 3rd and 4th party countries.
    What could possibly go wrong?

I would rather pay more for sanity and a restful journey. Umrah is mentally and physically taxing so best to do it as comfortably as you can afford.

Just adding to the warnings others have said about Kiwi. I booked flights with them last year and they tried to charge me a ludicrous amount for luggage when the airline allowed 30kg for free anyway!

Don’t know why this is expired but I am glad it is. OP is misleading people big time recommending using Kiwi and being so flippant about the consequences of flights being missed or cancelled. Very irresponsible and the opposite of a deal! And for something like umrah which is a big deal for anyone undertaking.

It really annoys me when people post supposed trip deals based on the likes of skyscanner or dodgy third party sites like Kiwi, Gotogate and others with prices which often jump up once you actually go to the link. And that’s without the ‘extras’ like baggage allowance. (edited)

Am I missing something but there's quite a bit of time for the connections so even if there are delays you should make the next flight easily?
