Definitely recommended, but just be aware that these only offer SBC codec... (OK for music, not great for movies/games as you'll get a delay between audio and video).

Yeah, that's the problem with my current Anker speaker.
Great for music and podcasts, but quickly out of sync if I try watching YouTube on my phone with the speaker.

I wanted one of these so bad, but went with sony srs xb13 for much smaller size

Sony xb13 is a nice and compact speaker, but the power output is nowhere close to Motion Boom.

Could i run a lead from my TV to this? My TV speaker has packed in. This seems like a nice alternative to a sound bar as I can use it on the move and outdoors.

Not great for TV anyway as the Bluetooth is laggy.

Excellent speaker, love mine. Battery lasts ages, it packs some serious punch for the size/money, and clarity is good for the price point too.

How loud is it in real life? Could I have this speaker close to me in an engineering machine shop and still hear it?

I use this in our auto detailing warehouse and its a fantastic piece of kit. Music can be heard sitting at one end of the warehouse when compounding machines/pressure washers are in use. Even though its on the other end of the warehouse, the front desk staff have to almost turn off the music every time a customer calls us because the sound is super strong. Highly recommend it mate.

I had a Sonos one, motion boom sounds almost just as good, but the Sonos one wins, but it's double the price.

I've had this for 2 years - it's an excellent portable speaker that we take to the beach and park. Love it. (edited)

Why do you take a loud speaker to the beach or the park? Genuinely, why do you think that everyone else wants to listen to your music? It's such an anti social thing to do. Should be a fixed penalty

I've got one of the original soundcore devices years ago. Small, very loud, great sound quality... AMAZING battery life.
    Can't rate these products enough.

I bet this item is awesome and very loud.

Must also add my praise for Anker products, they are always of very high quality, battery life is excellent on their portable speakers, buds and chargers.
    Highly recommended.

We use one of these at our Memories Cafe and it's brilliant - have only had to charge it once. Had one of the smaller Anker speakers beforehand - would definitely recommend them.

Brilliant speaker. The fact it's waterproof is a nice bonus although can't save i've taken a shower with it yet. But it does mean when it's summer time I can place it next to the kids pool and not worry about it. The sound is very very good. Very bassy too.

if mine broke today, i'd buy another. (edited)

Anyone got a comparison of this vs the Motion Boom Plus (£139 on Amazon, but I am not planning on buying another speaker soon, so want to get the right one) amazon.co.uk/Sou…c=1

It goes stupid loud, can't reasonably turn it up over 30% in my apartment.

Highs are a bit harsh by default and there is too much bass by default with the extra bass mode on, too little without it.

Sound out of the box is 5/10. After a firmware update and some tweaking it seems to be about 7-8/10 to me.

I'd recommend buying it off Amazon, if you don't like it you can return. Worth the try imo. (edited)

I've had one of these for a little while and it has been as good as several speakers that cost twice as much or more.

It isn't going to be a top of the range beater at this price, but you won't find anything better for under £100 (maybe more).

It supports the standard SBC Bluetooth codec, but you can set these up with an app to adjust the EQ to your own preference.

Anyone sitting there eagerly listening for top sound quality won't be buying one of these. However, to play music whilst having company over, a bbq, kids birthday or just pumping out some music whilst doing housework; it is a really good speaker.

As already said for the price these things seriously punch above their weight. I’ve spent a few quid on some relatively decent quality Hi-fi equipment. The sound, battery life, water proof use make these a must have. Buy two and use them as a stereo pair

I have had the Soundcore Motion+ paid £69.99 for it back in May 2020 and its still going strong. I would buy another in a heartbeat if it went wrong. Take it on holidays, in the garden, when we have a gathering of mates or family in the house. Its fantastic.
£65.99 for the Motion Boom seems a great deal, I have to keep stopping myself from clicking the buy now button and reminding myself that my current speaker is doing all i need it to!!
