No I've got it and it doesn't do Super Fast Charging 2.0 even with the right cable (edited)

Good for another option for steamdeck charging?

Yup 45w charge is what is required for steam deck. I got one when I lost the og charger. You can get smaller compact 65w charger for travels as well.

Have been told I should be looking for a charger with PPS. Is this the correct type for my needs?
    sheffield788's avatar
    sheffield788
This is PPS for up to 25w super fast charge. If your phone supports super fast charge 2.0, which is 45w, this charger will give you 25w. So, it depends what phone you have. (edited)

Can someone please recommend a good USB-C - USB-C? Thinking I'd go for a 100W cable to cover myself if I were to buy a different charger alongside this one in the future for my laptop, but a 65W one would also do. Thanks!

I go with reliable brands such as Anker, Aukey, Ravpower, Ugreen, Tecknet, etc. I've got plenty of cables, but my best one is Nimaso from Amazon. It also depends if you only want it for charging, or the transfer rate or video output is important too. My highest specs cable is Fasgear from Amazon.

Just checked on website and it says it’s not compatible with iPhone pro max. That doesn’t make sense too me

While i know nothing about iPhone, all chargers are compatible with all the phones. The difference is some phones charge at higher wattage (faster) and the charger you get may have lower Watts, hence it will charge slower. Other phones use certain protocols, such as PPS, in this case any charger will work, but a PPS charger will charge faster. However, regardless how powerful your charger is, your phone will only charge at the wattage it was designed for. (edited)
