I had a sitting with this model and a LG G2 (same as the LG C2, just slimmer), and they were both fantastic. I felt the QN800B had a more vivid picture, but the blacks of the G2 were just incredible; but can still distinguish everything in dark scenes, whereas the QN800B was a struggle.

I opted for the G2 and have zero regrets. It depends on what you are looking for, and I suggest you go and look before you buy (edited)

What's the point in an 8k TV when there is very little 8K content? Sure in 3 or so years we might have 8k content for shows and movies but by then this TV will be verging on obsolete.

There's actually more 8K content than 4K/120hz PS5 games (8 rubbish/arcade games) yet everyone says HDMI 2.1 is essential for a PS5 gaming TV and to make it future proof.

HDMI 2.1 will be obsolete for PS5 before 8K TVs

I got this TV ( not this offer the one that was posted the other day) and it's an amazing TV . I got it with the q700b speaker and is a seriously good setup.. I was set on getting an oled but with all the ifs and buts with oled decided this would be a good alternative and I am not regretting the choice at all..

What "ifs and buts" do you mean with OLED?

Decided to go for this deal. Using a 10% off code, ordered the QN800B 65 inch, with the Q800B soundbar plus a free Freestyle for £1,915. Went via Quidco, so if the 8.8% cashback tracks/paysout that'll be a bonus.

Which 10% code did you use?

How does this compare to the QN90B?

I’ve been looking at this range at 75’ and I believe the biggest improvement you get with the QN90B over they’re TVs lower in the range is around far better contrast and deals with reflections. This was the comparison with the qn85B - I suspect it would be similar. Worth remembering the QN90B is a high end tv that scores very well and is on par with the LG OLEDs - the tv here is far cheaper so has to have some drawbacks

Tempting. Cheaper on student portal but no option to trade in an old tv so actually more expensive and no cashback.
