Still believe this does not include 5 years warranty, so would go with JL offer if bothered.

They recently published new terms and conditions for purchases made between 1st April 2023 - 2024 here: 2024.pdf (my-samsung.com)

It still states: "Purchases must be made from the online shop on Samsung.com only. Purchases from other retailers or from Samsung.com EPP sites (under which certain categories of customers who have been provided with a log in to benefit from discounted products) are expressly excluded. This includes, but is not limited to the following Samsung EPP sites: Student, EPP Networks, NHS EPP, Royal Household EPP, SME Open, SME Closed, Samsung Staff Sales, EPP Partner"

When you purchase, you are agreeing to their terms and conditions, not what an agent tells you.

I appreciate you finding this. I think I'll remove the 5 year warranty bit as it sounds as though the Samsung Live Chat agent didn't know what they are talking about (surprise, surprise!)

I've gone for it using the wife's bluelight account. How unreliable are modern TVs? Never had a TV fail personally, still using the one I bought 10 years ago.

Basically wondering if 5 yr warranty is necessary or not....

I would say definitely get a 5 year warranty...can't guarantee anything with the panels on TVs these days...had a one year warranty just about luckily got a brand new motherboard due to connectivity issues...only been a year and a bit since I got it...get the 5 year for peace of mind

Usually, I think so. I'm going to check with them. I did post another deal with John Lewis that costs a bit more, but includes a £100 gift voucher and a 5 year warranty.

Are these the ones with the "bent" panels out off the box?

No, that's the S95B OLED. A totally different TV.

I don't think it's all of them, it's just reported cases anyhow.

Considered pulling the trigger on this earlier and had a look about, currys had just put this on ebay so had to snap it up. No extended warranty but i do not care at that price, open box and will check screen uniformity before accepting

The other day they had a 55 c2 grade A for 900 and a 65 cs grade B for 960 that i regret not going for "waiting on ebay code" so worth keeping an eye (edited)
