sorted byThe upside to USB 3 is it can work with older systems as regular USB ports are usually more widely available
But the downside is the signal needs to be converted from digital video signal into USB data signal, a process that adds overhead and takes resources from the system
Majority of computers with USB-C ports have integrated native digital video signal in them (Display Port signals) which would be more efficient and have lower latency
At the end whether this is good for you or not will depend on what you use it for. If it is for office applications like spreadsheets or applications where no fast refresh is needed then this can work well at a good price without noticing much impact (edited)
EDIT - just looked it up and it has a new stand design so should be better, possible they have also changed the panel and brightness too. (edited)
