    Acer Nitro VG240YS 24 Inch /165Hz/ FHD /VA /

    It's actually IPS.

Similar spec to the Lenovo G24-20 but £10 cheaper (and that's when the Lenovo drops to £130, it's £170 at the mo), so a pretty nice deal. (edited)

Ordered late last night, delivered this morning.

Already set up and I can tell you that when using the DisplayPort it makes Solitaire look incredible!

(Seriously though, great first impressions, heat already given.)

Specs say 2x Thunderbolt ports which is absolutely incorrect. Doesn't even have 1!

Yeah, but might be a way to get a partial refund and sweeten the deal because "it doesn't have the ports advertised, but I think I can manage without."

Also, this is IPS and not VA as listed in the deal title?

Any proper reviews on the picture quality, colour accuracy, and response times tests?

Rtings have an excellent article on it, and it's the reason I bought it a few years back.

The default sRGB mode is very accurate. Excellent response times. The only knock is that my unit had a habit of image retention if I left any static images on screen. Went away after a minute or so but still worth mentioning. Rtings found no evidence and it's not mentioned on any reviews so I likely just got unlucky. Did not affect my enjoyment at all though, great budget screen

Perfect for a Series S, and I used it with a 3060ti/5700G gaming PC for a couple of years with no complaints. Fantastic monitor and better than most comparable brands due to the excellent sRGB mode.

Got it for a similar price back then as well and it's still worth it today. Also sold it on eBay for the same price I paid when I finally upgraded.

For competitive gaming I preferred it, due to the smaller screen size (eSports players live and die by 24" panels). But I have a lot more desktop usage these days and QHD 27" is perfect.

That being said we use 24" 1080p at work still and it's perfectly fine for alt tab warriors.

Am I missing something or is this an incredible deal?
I've been keeping an eye on monitors for years and never seen a high refresh rate IPS monitor under £130, usually £140-150.
I needed something cheap and small, was looking at portable monitors but they're more expensive even though they're worse spec and way smaller, so I picked this up. Thanks!
