I bought this in 2019,giving up the ghost now. Clipper is fine, but battery is going home. It turns itself on in the night - was a real WTF moment the first time I heard it do that!

Got this a few years ago for £25, I wouldn't pay this price for it, the battery has died in it totally useless now

It's a good product, they don't last though. Make sure to register it with Philips for the extended warranty. They're decent for replacing

Be aware: this isn't the same product as a couple of years ago; they've sneakily swapped the nice weighty metal body for a grey plastic one which feels much cheaper. You can see the design is slightly different:

Unbelievable how much the price for this has risen
It's almost like Phillips have realised how incredible a product this is

Had one of these since 2019. No issues at all. I got the 12 in 1 but regardless its the same 7000 series.

I have this, decent especially for the reduced price. Only problem is I’ve damaged some of the attachments and struggle to find replacements

Does anyone know what the guards are like on this. Have bought 2 Philips in the past and the guards were quite flimsy, giving an uneven trim.

    They are generally quite good
Just don't use the "body" Ones on your head
    Doesn't give an even cut

I've bought one to replace my 10 years old Q series. It trims longer than q and scratches the scalp. I'm sending it back. Got anorher Q series (rotating head) and I'm as happy as before. I think Q were discontinued now. Look, testament to their quality is how well they hold their resale value. 50 quid for a second hand. Madd

It's OK, nothing amazing. My beard never perfectly even using this, have to trim by hand at the end

I've been doing research on beard trimmers as my old one has never been that great and wanted one that you can take apart and replace the battery when it goes south. I had a shortlist of trimmers (before looking into battery replacements) and this was one of them. There's a video on YouTube showing how to replace the battery, but it's easily broken and the battery is glued in! So I personally wouldn't buy one. I hate having to throw away something just because the battery has died.

It came down to Braun and Panasonic as they're fairly easy to change out the battery, but in the end I decided to go for a separate professional clipper and professional trimmer. My beard is thick and I didn't really trust any of the so-called "beard trimmers" to be cut able to it (no pun intended). (edited)
