Yes, an existing family membership. Thanks for the clarification, might buy at this price to extend early!

You can do it via the Nintendo website, in the section where you buy memberships. You can choose the expansion pack and it will calculate how much you need to pay to add it to the membership you already have for the remaining term.

As a family option it is £0.08 a day discount off the price of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Family Membership so £29.20 taken off the £59.99 that Nintendo are changing for the family family online + Expansion pass.

So in total you are going to pay £52.78 a saving of 8.8%

If if the family online + Expansion was closer to £45 I would be more tempted.

Not that I've ever seen, unfortunately. Which is a shame as due to the price I haven't bothered with the Expansion Pack - seems a lot of money for little extra content.

    Yeah I feel the same.

I expected the expansion pack to sell as an extra £30 online or whatever but equally retail in the form of a download code that could be sold on cdkeys etc or physically in Game, Tesco where the fluctuating market could sell you it slightly cheaper.

Seems like the EP is a set price for the foreseeable, definitely not enough value on there to commit right now. (edited)

Are you buying a slot in their family membership group? If so it's a common thing people do to share the cost of a family membership, if the feedback is good then you'll be fine.

In terms of free games, with the basic online membership you'll get access to the NES/SNES games of which there is an existing library and they add new games periodically.

You can also download and play Tetris 99 for free - it's basically competitive knock-out Tetris against other people. There may be other free perks like this but I'm not sure.

You can also play Switch games you own online against other people, or for example with Super Mario Maker 2 play levels that other people have created and uploaded.

The Expansion Pack membership is an additional add-on which gives you N64/Sega Megadrive games and an Animal Crossing expansion.

I haven't got the Expansion Pack add-on, looking at what you get versus the cost involved, I just don't think it's worth it until they add much more content.

The basic online membership is something I wouldn't now be without. I love playing old SNES/NES stuff, my son is all about playing online with his friends and Tetris 99 gets far more action than I would have expected! Definitely worth having.

If anyone wants to go in on a family membership together let me know.

I've already connected with a few others on here who want the expansion, so just trying to make it a full 8 users before we order tomorrow.

Yeah. My only worry is they could cancel the profile at any point long after you can contact eBay to dispute. But when their feedback is so high and they receive a lot of it, it think it will be safe

Did you go with the membership and could you tell me if it includes Mario kart
