Great deal for what it used to be, £100 would be my biting point. 😁 Heat non the less.

Think I paid £79 for mine thanks to cashback rewards from a bank. Waiting for my 2Tb model to arrive at Currys for collection thanks to the £199 offer last week.

Another ssd manufacturer is coming on board shortly for the series X/S SSDs so then we should see greedy Seagate have to drop their prices 🫣

To be fair, they probably have to pay Microsoft some stupid royalty fee to be an approved supplier, so blame them

Just wait 2 more months as the xbox event in is 2 months time and the rumor is we will see more third party versions of this expansion card, and as we have seen lately, these have been dropping in sales all over the place, which is usually a sign that retailers know what is coming their way real soon, so they start trying to dump ond stock that has not moved.

I agree, it's down to £139 at curries now.

Say you buy this for the Series X or S, could it ever be used in the future on another unrelated device? With an adapter or something?

If I have a regular external SSD or HDD, I can plug those into a PC no problem. Same goes for plugging it into a different console like a PlayStation. But these seem to be crazy expensive and only usable on a Series S or X?

While they can be read using some adaptors, they're not really designed to be cracked open and used as drives in other consoles. It would make no sense if to buy an Xbox expansion drive to use in another console or PC when the m.2 2280 sized drives are cheaper than m.2 2230 drives.

They seem to be getting cheaper. I'm hoping that if I hold on I can get one for around the £100 mark

    Sorry. No.
    1tb for £150 is bonkers.
Agree with XP200... give it a few months.

It's a good price but I use a 4tb external for most games as storage then transfer them to the internal when needed.

This is the way. Start a transfer, make yourself a snack, come back and job done. Saved yourself £150.

These are disgustingly overpriced. Guess we know why MS went this route instead of an m.2 slot under a cover like the PS5.

I hate this approach from MS. Such. Stupid and greedy idea. Hope they learn from Sony and allow us to add our own hard drives as long as they're fast enough. MS make so many silly choices it damages their chances of competing. Like literally, no bundle deals on consoles???

I wanted one of these badly but not at £149. Ended up getting a 1tb Kingston SSD + an enclosure for £36. Have enough for the Series X optimized games on the internal storage and everything else goes on the external SSD.

Even £100 is massively overpriced. I just ordered a 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus for £76.

Xbox announces permanent price cuts for Series X/S storage cards.(currently USA).

1TB Seagate Expansion Card is now $149.99 (Dollars)

Looks like the new incoming Western Digital 1TB Xbox Series X|S Expansion Card is going to have to release at a lower price than the Seagates new price to compete (edited)

It was that at Currys a few days ago. Luckily managed to order one as need a bit more breathing space than 1Tb allows at the moment. Bonkers that it's like that nowadays really. Have an external 4Tb drive to offload Series X and store non-Series X titles too, (edited)
