Fruit of the loom are utter garbage.

Coming from someone who worked in the t-shirt industry for 15 years , I wouldn't take them for free at conventions .

If you're after a cheap and comfortable t-shirt in this range go for either Gildan softstyle for a lightweight shirt, heavy for a hard-wearing t-shirt. And if you're feeling a bit fancy B&C 150 are a lovely mid ground but a little bit pricier

The price is good but I stopped buying these a while back , lost colour and went nasty very quickly no matter how I washed them.
    Try Gilden or D55

We use Gildan for our staff (commercial decorating) and they've proved a very good hard-wearing brand and nice fit too

Gildan are far superior and better value for tees.

I bought these for use at work, they are excellent and do not lose shape. I bought these in large so I could tumble dry them and still fit and please so much I have bought another load.

Decent Tees in a range of colours are £2.50 each in Primark, so cheaper and more choice.

Same for nearly every Clothing deal posted on here - cheaper at Primark?

Bought these last year and returned them. The quality was really poor. Stitching was loose on the hems and sleeves and the cotton was really thin for a product described as 'heavy'. Sizing was also inconsistent. (edited)

bought these twice previously with the hope they would have improved.

The first ones washed n lost their shape after 2 washes, then were so thin started to get holes in them.

2nd  buy didn't even keep, the stitching was bad, and had holes in the tees.

Really doubt these are the original fruit of the loom, or if they are, then quality has decreased terribly over the years.

I have been buying these for years. They are not the height of fashion, they are a simple plain t-shirt. I have had both the heavy and the regular thread and both have been great for what I want... to put under a shirt or jumper as a extra layer.

They do the job for me.

Bought a 5 pack of these t-shirts but in white for six quid a year ago. "Super premium" it said, so allegedly better than these.

Not very good to be honest, a quid a t-shirt is about their value. Rough material and just not very comfortable.

These are not good t-shirts and this is not a good deal. (edited)

Bought these last year and regretted it. Once washed and dried they went all funny shaped.

A word of warning I have these
The cotton is extremely rough on skin almost like sandpaper and some of the threading has become done on a few washes. Definitely get what you pay for lol

Works out as £2.45 per tee for students. Around the same price as Primark so I’ll definitely give these a try in white. Thanks OP

Everyone keeps mentioning Fruit Of The Loom ‘Super Premium’ in this thread and the quality - its a different product from their heavy cotton range -

Cheap and nasty. Poor quality, ill fitting and wash up terrible. M&S do 3 T-shirts for £16 odd quid, and the quality is 10 fold what these are. Save your money on these. You’ll be seriously disappointed.

What are these like these days ?

Had a couple of their t shirts from the 90's ...they remained great shape and condition for years ...
As they were the baggy 90's look . I passed them on to someone who's still got them

One question: how do you know if 10% discount will be applied to students prime account? I used to get it every time for items sold by Amazon, but recently it's not always the case.

It mentions it on the product page if the 10% offer is available on the item -

These are the best I have bought amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 I paid £17 each but down to £12.99 , £11.70 with student discount..

Ordered a 2000 gilden off the strength of this thread the other day , just worn to gym , very good quality but I do not like it, baggy/boxy with massive arms , American size/shape I guess, a size down may be better, will see what its like after washing, 5 for £29 here amazon.co.uk/GIL…c=1
