4121207_1.jpgAbout this item
  • EASY TO PITCH - Despite its size, this large tent is quick to pitch and pack up thanks to a revolutionary quick release air valve system. Simply inflate the air beams using the included stirrup pump to create a stable tent.
  • FULLY WATERPROOF - The waterproof polycotton fabric, 65% polyester,35% cotton mix, is fully waterproof without the need for future treatment. The upgraded fabric construction is durable, long-lasting, highly breathable and more resistant to UV rays.

  • 4121207_1.jpgINTEGRATED PORCH - It benefits from an integrated sheltered porch with windows and impressive floor space. There are two side doors and one main front door. All entrances benefit from mesh doors for additional ventilation with protection from bugs.
  • VERSATILE - The side by side bedrooms can be removed for extra living space. Two divider curtains in bedrooms give you the option of a 6 person bedroom, a 4 and 2 person bedroom, or 3 x 2 person bedrooms.
  • EXTRA FEATURES - Essential features include a rain-hood over the side door with brow, zipped access for electric hook up, extra-large windows with toggle curtains and organisers below windows and multiple pocket organisers in the living area and bedrooms.

Pollycotton or pure cotton is the premier product. So so much better than plastic which Russell all night and only lasts a couple of seasons. This cared for correctly will last forever. I have 3 40 years old tents made of cotton. The gold standard used up everest was cotton fly, alliminium poles and pvc groundsheet.

Polycotton pros: polycotton helps keep the tent warm at night, and cooler during the day. You won't wake up and have to quickly get outside due to the sun baking your tent, in the hot summers! It's also more breathable, and doesn't degrade in UV the way that plastic tents will over time. Treated well, you can get many years of use out of one (more than a decade.)

Cons: polycotton is a heavier fabric, = a heavier tent. It also needs to be completely dry before putting away, or the fabric can rot.

Seems a good price for a polycotton air of this size and brand, though if you want to try polycotton at a smaller price, look for secondhand Outwell polycotton tents which are superb quality at a fraction of this price (though they are steel poled, not air tents.) (edited)

Mega bucks price. We have the air 8 XL for a fraction. Can only assume being polycotton adds a grand on

like comparing a rolls royce with a dacia . The polycotton is worth the extra however, you would never go back to plastic once tried.

Have had this for a few years now and love it; for camping for longer than a long weekend polycotton is the way to go IMO. I am not convinced this is a particularly good price though, we paid around £1200 in 2020 if memory serves.

Great tent, had ours a couple of years, stands up to any weather our summers throw at it, negative is the size / weight, nearly 50kgs and fills the boot so often have to use two cars.
