Was in 2 local branches of Iceland this afternoon looking for one of these and noticed that these medium sized crowns (both old and new designs) are all best before 04/23 yet all the smaller crowns and larger turkeys have 05/25 and 06/25 best before dates on them, so looks like these have been around for a long time or Iceland have taken a lot of short dated stock.

I purchased a medium Turkey for £18 with BB 06/25 date on it.

Yipes, 30-36 hrs to defrost 3kg frozen turkey. And then the time to cook it. Glad I'm a veggy. Sounds a bit of a faff cooking turkey

you dont have to sit there and watch it defrost.. or cook.. veggy and lazy, no energy. best you get some meat in you to raise your energy level..

Unfortunately BM also supplies most of the supermarket own label turkeys!

Anyone else look at the packaging and think it's being sold by Cadbury's?

A basted turkey? Seems a bit harsh. Maybe it did know it's father. Just sayin.

Thanks, op! Nice deal, and good product. One of the best value meats available, and can provide quite a few meals if used properly. An economic alternative to a couple of Mac’s for the same price.

Good old Bernard Matthews Turkeys... I think 'Basted' must mean 'baseball bat battered'

Shouldn't this be £13.50 due to the £4 postage? Unless ordering over £40.

    Thanks for posting.

Word of warning. Obviously it can happen but I got an order over £40 which included this. Had an email 3 hrs before delivery saying this was out of stock. They were going to deliver the other items but I called them to cancel. Hope it's not a scam and it's just to drum up business.
