    I've heard/read that these aren't as good as the old school ones and are cheaply made in comparison. Has this issue been rectified or should a short lifespan be expected?

    Had my workmate since the 70's. Top has been replaced and the plastic feet long gone, but I've rebuilt engines and done hundreds of projects . Highly recommended over plastic versions ..

    I've had mine going for 28 years.
    Replaced feet, available on ebay and the top needs attention, but all the rest is fine.
    It lives outside in the rain but still ok, not much rust on it.
    Are new ones as good?

    Uk mainland only. Really frustrating that they won't deliver to northern Ireland.

    EDIT: weirdly they deliver to the south/republic of ireland. £61 quid incl delivery (edited)
