Hello! Thanks for posting, I have a few questions because there's surprisingly no video reviews anywhere about this product.

    1. According to the manual it says it takes 20 minutes to boil cold water. Does this device actual "rumble" like a normal kettle or is this like a Slow-Cooker style type of heating?

    2. Has anyone confirmed the temperature of the water with a thermometer? The manual does mention to be careful of steam so it must be pretty hot!

    3. If the airpot is connected to the mains with water levels being empty, does it still try to "Keep Warm" despite nothing inside? There is an Empty light indicator (and I know this is bizarre to ask) but how empty is "Empty"? Is there any residual water inside if it says it's empty?

    4. I don't suppose anyone's measured the energy output by any chance? For example, my kettle uses 0.1330 kWH to boil once at 1.7l capacity. The manual says 750W but this value must be when it's trying to boil and not when it's trying to keep warm right?

    5. Is the manual Pump difficult to push down? And does it splatter everywhere in comparison to the Water Dispense button?

    6. Have you owned your airpot for long?

    7. A review mentioned some initial smells during it's first use, did you experience the same?

Sorry to ask so many things but again thank you for helping the community with this post!

I just noticed that Nisbets are selling this on Ebay too for £34.87 ebay.co.uk/itm…dth

    1. Rumblng in a kettle is normally down to scaling issues. A Hot Water Pot is sealed and boils up once and then stays hot.

    2. They normally boil at 100C and then regulate from 97C

    3. Safety cut out if no water

    4. It's more efficient than a kettle. You have instant hot water to hand.

    5. It doesn't splatter with manual pump

    6. Long long time. They are very popular abroad

    7. Like any product, give it a wash when new and run a couple of cycles and you are good to go.

How long do these keep warm for?
    Prosamuraiman's avatar
They keep the water permanently hot, so there's no need to reboil when you need hot water.

Anyone know how much energy they use 'idling' with hot water in?

These are awesome and used heavily all across the world, it's a shame they're not a thing over here.

Just saw another deal posted about the code 20SPECIAL. Which brings this to around £30. I bought two, so it came down to £55.17 incl the £6 delivery. Thanks OP!
