Be careful with expensive knives - it grinds the crap out of the blade to give a new edge. I only use on cheap knives.

Yes - saw a test on YouTube and this thing shreds knives. Only for use with cheapo blades. Gotta get proper with your nice sharps - whetstone or ceramic sharpener.

As a guide, don't use this on any knives that cost more than this does.

I've found this to be the cheapest/quickest way to sharpen knives to a good enough level.

Was a butcher years ago, only ever used a whetstone and steel, knives razor sharp. I will however say that i also used a sanding belt in one butchers shop which worked well, would never use something like this on my expensive knives, including my sons chefs knives. Whetstone all the way.

Ask a Morrisons butcher or fishmonger what they use to sharpen their knives, it will not be this device. Likely a whetstone and steel or a sanding belt and steel.

Can it sharpen a saw asking for a friend, honest!

Asking for me, would it work on a lawn mower blade?

It's pretty small so I doubt it could do a lawnmower blade. Hard to say with a saw.
