If spending a lot make sure you're getting the switch type you want. Also try and look out for hot swappable switches and removable cables. Makes life easier and cheaper when something fails...

Imo cherry switches are the best. Red are the fastest but can take a bit of getting used to and not ideal for typing. Corsair is a decent brand

any opinions on which is better - this or the EVGA Z20? both around same price.

As someone who spent a few days looking at buying the Z20. I did read that Corsair played friendlier with Linux. The Z15 has hot swapable switches - so I was more inclined to go for that. So if you care you could get something else. Check the recent Z20 thread. Quite a bit of negativity around the EVGA software.

Then I realised that my keyboard was probably good enough already. Keychron and Coolermaster seem to do good interchangeable mac/windows boards. (edited)

This deal seems to have sold out. States Viola switches on the Game website.
