sorted byHowever there are only a handful of games that would benefit from more than 16GB RAM so unless you're desperate for RGB or have less than 16GB I don't think it is worth replacing 3600MT RAM with this.

Inflation busting deals have some heat 🔥
I currently have this RAM but in the 2x8GB config and was looking to top it up with another 2 sticks to fill up all 4 slots on the mobo.
AMD are slightly more open about this limitation than Intel but neither really advertise the fact. If you look at the spec sheet for the 5800x3d - amd.com/en/…x3d - you will see that the maximum memory speed for 2 sticks is DDR4-3200 whereas for 4 sticks it is DDR4-2933 single rank and DDR4-2667 dual rank.
In the real world you might not run into issues with 4 sticks (and for RGB goodness 4 sticks are better than 2) but if you do need 32GB this is, in my opinion, the better option. (edited)
