Definitive Technology Demand D17s use a multi-speaker array to create a mighty, three-dimensional sound stage. Buckle up and prepare for a thrilling experience!

No compromise, flagship performance
Standing at the top of the Demand Series, the D17s use the company’s unique driver tech for a scintillating performance. From the offset tweeters to the twin 10 inch passive woofers, every element of sound is expertly handled, across the entire range. Enjoy world-class stereo sound or reference home cinema from a towering yet elegant speaker design.

Pin-point accuracy at the top end
The Demand D17’s offset tweeters literally push the boundaries of sound. Using Definitive Technology’s 20/20 Wave Alignment Lens and asymmetric placement, they produce a soundstage that’s both wide but also precise at the centre point. This gives you an expansive ‘wall-of-sound’, without losing focus at the centre of the soundstage, meaning vocals sound totally lifelike.

Lifelike vocals from unique midrange system
Living up to their Definitive Technology name, the D17’s use patented Linear Response Waveguides for precise and natural vocal timbre. Best of all, you don’t have to be listening in the central ‘sweet spot’ to hear a balanced staging effect. Even when sitting off-axis, the frequency dispersion system guides the sound to create enveloping audio.

Mighty bass response
Twin, 6.5 inch carbon fibre woofers ensure bass that’s both deep and extended. The high rigidity cones keep an iron-fisted control on the bottom end, meaning that bass notes are not just powerful but also highly responsive and in harmony with the beat. For subwoofer-rivalling levels of bass depth, the D17s are also fitted with twin, 10 inch passive woofers. These utilise the air within the cabinet, giving you enhanced depth and balance at all volume levels.

Choice of high gloss finishes
Each speaker is meticulously sanded and painted with five layers of premium gloss paint, then buffed to a near-mirror quality for an immaculate finish. Choose between piano black and high gloss white finishes for a style that best suits your décor.

Feel every element of sound, with the Definitive Technology Demand D17 speakers.

They get a good review on Soundstage Australia but seems you’ll need a big room to take advantage of them.
