The Monitor C150 centre speaker is ideal for cabinet or shelves. The sealed enclosure ensures it can be positioned up against a wall without any detrimental effects to the performance.

The Monitor 100s are handsome speakers designed to be placed on a bookshelf or mounted on a stand. With their black bass driver cones and black C-CAM tweeters, they delight both the eyes and the ears.

The Monitor 100s are beautifully proportioned speakers featuring a 61/2" MMP II bass driver complemented by a 25 mm black C-CAM tweeter. With a larger bass driver and bigger cabinet, the 100s deliver a more expansive and punchy sound.

Two sets of binding post terminals on each speaker allow for bi-wiring or a bi-amp set up. To maintain their compact proportions, and to allow positioning in the most confined locations, the speakers are rear ported. The Monitor 100s truly deliver the classic Monitor Audio sound.

Does anyone know how the 100s stack up against, say, Wharfedale Diamond 9s or the JBL Control One?

They are mediocre £300 speakers. That makes them stupendous £67 speakers. I would imagine they are better than anything you can buy for under £125.

As an audio noob I assume you would have to buy 1x centre speaker and 2x the bookshelf speakers? Or does the bookshelf speakers ebay page include 2 as I can't really tell lol (edited)

It's a pair so 1x each to basket will net you all you need for a 3.0 system.

Bargain really. I have the 50s as surrounds in a 5.1.

These arrived yesterday and they are leagues ahead of the Onkyo speakers they replaced. The clarity of dialogue is so much better as is their low frequency capabilities compared to my old speakers. The only things that I'll mark them down for initially are in not keen that the branding that's printed on the front face is not covered by the front mesh cover on the 100s and oddly the C150 came with silicone sticky pads to affix to the bottom if your sitting it on a unit/shelf but the 100s didn't. Not a hard or expensive fix but a little frustrating but considering I paid just over £130 for these 3 speakers I'm more than chuffed.

Voted cold, once 3G is switched off these will be useless, plus you need 5G for hi-res streaming.

Didn't they release some 2G version recently too. In that case they are going backwards lol. Heat added, agree this is going to be great sound and you would be hard pressed to find better for price. Just remember these will need an amp. I do wonder how these compare to my Dali bookshelf speakers. Mind you I paid a lot more than £67

    3G?
    Gonna bi shut down soon...
5G to get some longevity. Speakers can last for decades, need to make sure the electronics is relevant for some time

Heat added for the shell suit white colour (edited)

Excellent thanks, I was looking to upgrade my 12 year old onkyo speakers. I've bought a C150 and a set of 100's for my fronts. I just need a set of white 50's for my rears to complete the set. Unfortunately they only have the 50's in black in stock at the minute.

Nothing wrong with getting another set of 100's for the rears.

The bookshelf on the paper with its Frequency Response of 44 Hz - 30 kHz looks better than my Focal Aria (edited)
