Easy to use, compact and stylish, the Denon DP-29F turntable makes it simple to get the best from your vinyl.

Unbeatable heritage
Founded in 1910, Denon has over 110 years’ experience in audio and is one of the longest established hi-fi companies in the world. Since being at the forefront of gramophone technology in 1910, they went on to lead with professional disc cutting devices, LPs, audio cassette, professional and domestic CD, home cinema, DVD and much more. This unparalleled experience means you can be assured of the best performance-per-pound from the Denon DP-29F.

Lifelike sound quality
Set-up and ready to go, the DP29F doesn’t require any complicated or fiddly set-up. The fitted cartridge is perfectly aligned, ensuring you hear plenty of detail from the record’s grooves. The belt-drive system naturally damps motor noise, giving you a quiet backdrop and smooth stability.

Easy to use, fully automatic design
For ease of use, the DP-29F is a fully automatic design. Simply select the size of the record and the tonearm starts at just the right place. It also features auto-return, so you don't need to worry about damaging the stylus at the end of the record.

Connects to any system with an AUX input
The built-in phono stage means that you don't even need to use an amplifier or system with a dedicated turntable input - any system with an AUX input in will do. If you do have an amp with a phonostage built-in, however, you can turn off the Denon’s, making it completely flexible with compatible amps.

Compact and stylish
At 360mm wide and taking up not much more space than an LP’s footprint, this Denon turntable fits where others don’t. The smart silver design stands out from the crowd but uses a matte finish for practicality.

Enjoy your vinyl, in style, with the Denon DP-29F.

Non removable cartridge. No adjustable counterweight. No adjustable anti-skate. Very basic turntable.

It doesn't need an adjustable counterweight BECAUSE the cartridge is fixed. This is a standard design on cheaper turntables for years...

Or with active speakers for a complete system the M20 would be a better job for people who just want a basic record player, plus bluetooth and digital inputs also, ie. An onboard DAC

    For £429

This is likely as good as it gets for <£100. Very similar to the Audio Technica LP60, and that got solid reviews - at that price point.

If it's using the old Audio Technica 3600L cartridge... Well, Rega are still flogging that on £300 turntables, so it's a solid little performer.

yeah thats a pretty awful turntable
the currect retro vibe on records is awful
even years ago when me and mates were doing records you need £1000 to get the best from that black plastic, now its like yeah 49 quid and youre good, its a bit rubbish

And it still wouldn't sound as good as digital music.

I may consider this. It may annoy people plugging it to my venerable Quad/B&W setup but after my old cartridge was wrecked I need to complete the ripping of my vinyl collection. Sadly the weak point in my audio world is not the kit but my ageing ears. Even DAB now sounds acceptable ;-) (edited)

You usually lose higher frequencies with age until the point where you lose your hearing also. I reckon an 80yo audiophile could still enjoy his equipment providing no great hearing loss.

So many abuse their ears during life, construction workers, machinery, ravers, musicians etc. but more awareness nowadays.
