Not sure how bright it is, but definitely a good value for the specs it has.
Currently, I am looking for one that has autofocus but the price easily over £500. Not paying that much,

Also, the one without android stick is £10 cheaper.

Measured at 200 lumens from a metre away, which will only give a 32" picture, so at a more sensible throw distance, as it's says 65" at 2m, a 100 is not unlikely or even less.

It's rubbish. This is a 2 year old review and you can get brighter at 1080p with Smart features for the same price now from an Amazon Chinese one like a Touyinger (edited)

That is not the exact same model, tho.

    Just my thoughts:

    1. Most decent compact projector's from the likes of LG, Samsung, Viewsonic, Xgimi are all LED-DLP projectors which are efficient, dust resistant, and can generally last a long time

    2. This projector is a single LCD running at 100 watts. I think single LCDs are prone to yellowing if the design is not sealed (I don't think this one is sealed). I believe 100 watt LCD projector should be bright enough in a dark room, but with the design you need to ensure you have a tripod (cheap LCD projectors are not suitable to use on a tea table and need to ceiling mount very low due to the way it cast the image)

But great price considering how much it's going for in the other places (edited)

Scroll down to the Used like new ones and get it for £210 with the auto discount. Even being a bit more and possibly with the cost of a firestick it's way way better

I'd be quite vary to buy the HD143X from Amazon warehouse (I just bought one 2 weeks ago)

Think mine was bait and switched (some clearly swapped in their old one and returned to Amazon)

You can't confirm the lamp life either as it's very easy to reset the counter to 0

Single LCD is obviously the most compromised of all projector technologies. But if it gets the job done to a given punter's satisfaction- no issue.

However, how will you know if such a compromised solution will satisfy- that's the problem. As others have pointed out, you have brightness, and you have contrast (essentially how good are the 'blacks'). Brightness can and should be mitigated by using the cheapie projector in as dark a location as possible. The contrast, however, is a more pressing problem. A bit like VA monitors with gaming, this image quality issue is a major downside, and hard to remedy- but if your viewing materials are mostly bright, you may not notice. However modern film and TV is currently VERY dark in many scenes (a current cinematic fashion), and won't suit this projector.

True, contrast is everything as far as a PJ is concerned.
A projected image lacking in contrast is difficult to watch if it has many dark scenes. Even then contrast and deeper blacks give depth and realism.
Super duper mega high lumens aren't everything if it's for movie watching.
Though obviously a decent enough amount is required for a satisfying image even in a darkened environment.

I would never use a white screen, as a grey screen just gives an image better contrast, better blacks and deeper colours.
Our brains don't notice off whites like they do off blacks.

Something that is 100 lumens (doesn't even say ANSI lumens) I doubt is going to cut it and I should imagine it would be a bit of an unsatisfying experience. (edited)

My advice: I have a 1080p one outside, bluetooth speaker because the speakers are poor in these. I don't have this model but to give atmosphere or a different way to watch something you'll get value at this price.

Top tip is a grey screen for better blacks and colour, you can mix your own (online) with normal paint and silver pigment.

In the winter I use garden furniture and get the firepit going and its a great way to even be outside in winter. Throw in some cheap solar lights in walls, flowerbeds and above and you can make it feel quite nice.

That looks fantastic. What hammock are you using? Looks great.

A single lumen is a measurement of light roughly equal to the output of a candle from a distance of one foot. So, 100 lumens would be like having 100 candles all burning at once from a distance of one foot away. In terms of general lighting, 100 lumens is pretty low.

This looks quite dull to me

    100% it's not just 100 lumens.
Cannot see the right brightness. manuals.co.uk/phi…=23

for reference, i bought a Viewsonic PX701HD off ebay that was hardly used, for £158. It's native 1080p and 3500 lumens. It's bright as hell, even in a full-daylight room.
there are good projector deals out there if you do a bit of research.

I can’t find any information about the included android stick and one review says some apps don’t work due to the stick not updating :-/
