    Looks like a good price. But it's an odd combo, the flexvolt will work as 18v in this drill. Only the dcd999 makes use of the v54 power. A such you are paying a premium for a flexvolt battery as well as paying in having to carry the extra weight as the v54 batteries weigh more than the v18 batteries.

    This deal will work for those who want a v54 battery for other tools in the range like v54 saw, grinder or gardening tools. (edited)

    To be honest I was looking at this with a view of keeping the 6ah battery and selling everything else on on a well known auction site meaning I would get the battery for about £55.....

    Weird combo but a good price if this is what you want/need.

    Good charger and battery but be warned the battery is heavy!  I picked one up for my circ saw but I wouldn’t be keen using it on a drill due to weight/size.  I’ve got the 996 and it’s a lump with the 6.0ah on there!

    They usually rise the prices just before the discounts go live, so probably not as bad as you think
