What makes this more expensive than the others such as the EQ5?

Higher weight capacity - 125KG vs the 100KG on the EQ5
Wider desk top support - 120-210cm vs 120-180cm on the EQ5
Motor speed is marginally quicker on the E7 too

If you need a higher weight capacity and more space, then the E7 might be the more attractive buy. If not, then the EQ5 is worth looking at.

Before people bang on about cheaper desks from other companies, just ask what the warranty is in event of malfunction and who pays for shipping costs within UK. I have the E7 and combined it with Trotten desk top from IKEA for £25. I will upgrade desk top eventually but it saved me money for time being...

i got the E5W for £250 2.5 years ago, love it, smooth as the day i brought it.
but i do like the leg mechanism of this one better as fixed part at the bottom is smaller than the moving ones, which looks like it may be more stable.

I got a standing desk from Lidl for £100 a few months ago, granted it's definitely worse than this, but it does the job. Don't feel inclined to spend so much, there are cheaper ones around
