    Seems Asda always have the best deals on Chromecast related products! I would look out for one of the ones with Google TV though as they are excellent!

    After seeing the limitations on cromecast I bought the amazon fire stick . It dose the same thing with added benefits of built in apps ie amazon video, YouTube, netflix etc......
    I bought a second one as well and that stays in the suitcase and use it when I'm out working and checked in to a hotel

    If you can, get the one with google TV, it is a fantastic upgrade. Think they had it on sale in google store recently. Slightly more costly but worth it IMO.

    What's the cheapest device to just mirror media that I already have on my phone to a TV? Mainly for holiday use - my old Chromecast (the one with a USB port) is a PITA to set up and requires internet which doesn't really make sense to me.

    A lot of hotels don't let the Chromecast connect to the WiFi or just have slow WiFi in general so that doesn't help.
