Lidl's prices have really rocketted up. They are the cheapest and they know it, and have increased prices wherever they can get away with it imo - moreso than other supermarkets.

None of these deal prices are much good in my book.

Not to defend them (they're just a company) but prices have gone up more than the inflation everywhere. If they hadn't they'd be very stupid

Only stuff I buy from Lidl has really shot up .

the frozen Chicken wings where £2.39 last year and now £3.99 this week. Obviously you can't just factor inflation as there well be other factors but 66% seems like price gouging

Reed diffusers about 20% is reasonable I guess ( their mandarin and cedarwood is lovely)

There are other factors at play. lockdown meant chickens could not roam free. And now bird flu has devastated those cooped up chickens. Those chickens are now coming from further away. Bad growing weather and high heating costs also affect prices as well as inflation. so even though inflation is over 10%, other factors are having effects leading up to over 50% increases on staple products (edited)

Spanish week- funny they do it separate, but they also combine it with Iberian week with Portuguese stuff (frozen pasteis de nata cooked in the air fryer 14 minutes - YUM). Strange.

Heat for the effort... garlics ok but not much else to go in store for (hence i won't be going for these offers).
    Thankyou Andre.

Edit: looks like I'll have to pop in this week after all...gotta a fiver off a £30 spend valid till 19th. (edited)

I doubt it, but I have not been able to look up the prices on line to verify. Mushrooms are generally over £3 per kilo in most places. In lidl it is the equivalent of £2.50
