sorted byThere's not even an argument to be made that the reason for doing so is to avoid increased manufacturing costs for larger capacity cartridges, since the publisher could easily just do what Ubisoft did with Black Flag - have all of the games on the cart accessible via a launcher, which only runs when you have the cartridge inserted.
