Great price on this Nike speed shoe.

I love mine and actually have faster times in these than in both the Vaporfly and Alphafly.

Full range of sizes available in this colour way. There are brighter colours of the same shoe for around £107.

Nike description: While these speedsters could easily pass the test on race day, they double as your go-to shoe for your training routine. The supportive fit and soft cushioning work together to make them comfortable enough to withstand those double-digit mileage days, and light enough to help quicken your tempo when the time is right.

Zoom Forward

Nike ZoomX foam in the footbed delivers high energy return. Visible Zoom Air units provide responsive cushioning to give you an additional spring as you push off. Nike React technology is a lightweight and durable foam that delivers a smooth ride and helps cushion your foot when it hits the pavement.

Runner-Informed Traction
Using data from hundreds of runners, we placed traction where your foot needs it most to give you grip on multiple surfaces.

Fast Fit
A translucent Flyknit upper provides breathability in areas where your foot heats up the most. It uses strong, stretchy yarns to create a lightweight-yet-supportive feel with every mile.

More Benefits
  • Asymmetrical lacing helps keep your foot secure and in place.
  • Cushioned heel pods add comfort.

Need some running advice (yeah so I came to HUKD).

Been running for a few years, have done a couple of half marathons etc. Running group 3 times a week 10k ish per session, easy / slow pace but after a few weeks / months always seem to be hobbling about with my ankles and feet in pieces. Brooks ghost 14 or Altra Timp 4 Trail are my road/ trail shoes.

Are there running shoes that give extra cushioning? I feel like I'm always "just coming back from injury" despite taking things very slowly.

I would heartily recommend the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run. The new versions are the 3 but many reviews say 1 and 2 are better. Good thing is many retailers are selling the 1s and 2s at a discount because the 3s are out.

Great regular ultra cushioning. The ones in this deal are totally focused on speed work. (edited)

These are good for faster paced runs but one thing that really annoys me about then is that they destroy my socks. Anything over 10K or even pushing myself over a shorter distance and the mesh seems to rub against my big toe nail and put a hole in the sock. Probably been through £70 worth of socks over the years I’ve had these. Seems like Nike are operating a bit of a indirect subscription model with them.

My palr are up to 280 miles today and I've not had the same issue at all. I always wear Nike Spark socks, which are quite thin and slick.

Can these be worn for everyday wear

Do you mean as a daily running shoe? Certainly, yes, but they'd probably be better in a rotation with some easier going shoes and then grab these for faster sessions.

For every day non-running wear? You could, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Something like the Nike Invincible would be more comfortable.

Grabbed a pair right now, I hope they're nice.
I have Vaporfly's 2 and they're amazing, don't expect those to be as good, but I hope at least good for fast training sessions.
I hope they're not too heavy.
Also the price on offer is for a different colourway (even nicer than the ones in the pictures here)

My PBs from 5km up to the half are all in these. I didn't own Vaporflys nor Alphaflys at the time, but I look at those times now and think "I can't get near those!"

I have a Strava segment that I use as a speed test and my best time is in the Tempos. Once again, I can't get close it in either my Vaporflys nor Alphaflys.

Based on this deal, I put on my Tempos for my run today. I intended to trot out 5-6 miles at an easy 8:30/mile. I ended up running 9.5 miles at 7:30/mile. They are such good fun!

Don't forget these are illegal for some races because they don't meet the specs for competitive racing. (edited)

Technically correct, and whilst that's true for elites, none of us are going to get disqualified from a local race if we wear them!

How do these compare to the saucony endorphin speed/pro or ultraboosts? I generally want it for half or full marathon distance. Thanks for any advice as it sounds like there are keen runners here

A more aggressive shoe I'd say. The tempo was designed as a training shoe for the alphafly v1. Although some people prefer the tempo over the alphafly. I like the tempo next% and ran some fast Parkruns in them.

I have the Tempo Next% for 400x16 and tempo 5k sessions (18-20 mins), invincible runs (v1) for slow sessions (5-10k, 8-10 min mile pace) and Milers for longer mid paced sessions (8k+, 8 min miles pace).

The Tempo Next % are absolutely amazing for quicker sessions, no knee pain or issues since switching to them from Zoom Vomeros (which were great compared to a myriad of other shoes I tried) at the beginning of last year. I’d holy heartedly recommend them for anyone running sub-8 minute pace per mile. I’m not too sure if there’s any great benefit for running slower and on recovery sessions I found them to be annoying. The main reason is they really encourage you to be running on your toes, so slower more flat footed work just feels… weird in them. Obviously if you’re running slower than 8 minute pace but your style is more on your toes then they’ll be great - I just tend to switch from relaxed, to forward lean, to sprint depending on the session; forward leaning and sprint shoes are where these are at for me.

Last thing to say is that they’re much more robust than Vaporfly’s: had to send my Vaporfly’s back after a single 10k at race pace, following a few tempo 5k’s…

    Great deal and price. (edited)

Great price and awesome running shoe. I have used these in different colour for over 2 years. However, I starting disliking them for day to day running and slower runs. these are great for quicker runs - from a speed perspective and they will significantly improve your time. The benefit you get from these shoes as an amateur is unbelievable.
I also felt that during longer runs and when you lose your posture, the don't 'roll' as much anymore and they make me stomp along rather than run, if that makes sense.
They sit extremely snug, no sliding inside the shoe either. Overall, pretty awesome.

I found a better day to day shoes in the UA Flow Velocity Wind 2.

Nothing received here, but these offers and discounts fit with something I read on a business newsletter the other day. By all accounts, Nike are carrying more stock than they ever have before, so will be expected to try and get that reduced over the next year or so, and the main mechanism for doing that are discounts and offers.

    Happy spending!

Hello, I have just started running on a leisurely pace, slowly moving up to 10k. I liked Pegasus trail 3 , is it good for daily run? I currently use ASICS cumulus and they are pretty snug.
Also, about pegs Some other retailers also giving good discount on Pegasus turbo, so I am here to seek advice. Cheers.
